Does Splatoon Now Have a Chance at 2mil in Japan Lifetime? (Shipment+Digital)

Again, this isnt my prediction, its just a question For F***s Sake :p

Do you believe it has a chance or at least get close to the 2mil figure in japan?

The game is currently sitting at at least 1.255mil Sell Through excluding final week + digital sales of Nov/Dec. That means it needs under 745k to go. 

An estimate of actual shipments+digital at years end will obviously be over 1.4mil (possibly 1.5mil-1.7mil) So in reality it actually needs UNDER 600k to go!

Thoughts? Other than another splatoon thread xD

Breakdown for 2016 imo (needs 450k shipping to hit 2mil lifetime)

Q1 150k sold + [50k shipped]

Q2 100k sold + [60k shipped]

Q4 150k sold + [200k shipped]

Y2 1.79mil sold + [1.94mil shipped] LTD

2017 ships an extra 60k, 2mil!

With the NX looming around possibly the end of next year, I somewhat have my doubts. Sales for Wii U hardware and software may drop once we know about the release date for the NX. If there was more time, I think it would be possible, but with the NX coming sooner than later, I feel it probably won't

Splatoon + Wii U bundles are sold out in Japan and Nintendo is not planning to produce more. So, I don't think it will reach 2m.

Novembers digitals. Splatoon did 4k.

It depends on when the NX will be announced/released. But I'll say it might hit 2m, yes!

It's definitely got a chance. If it did 1 million in half a year, it can probably reach 2 million within 2016 even if sales are half of 2015.

I don't know but I move that we have a new thread every 1,000 units sold until it gets there.

I'd say yes. It's already proven to leg out stronger than MK8 and Smash and has yet to hit the same attach rate of those franchises.

I think another Splatoon bundle of some kind comes out in Japan before the WiiU is all said and done. They're just saying the bundle is out of production because they don't have any ready at this time.

No thats Fakemitsu. We need real numbers, for some odd reason Famitsu #s dont coincide with the real numbers on a number of Nintendo games. AC/SSB 3DS are a few examples.

As well as splatoon. 167k were digital as of 3rd week of oct (officially from Nintendo). Yet famitsu has it around 110k as of end of oct.

I'll wait for official numbers, i dont believe it sold 4k in Nov, especially the way its been on the rise since Nov started!

edit: my bad im not literally targeting u, its just for the games that dont coincide with famitsu digital when we get official numbers i dont trust.Splatoon is one of them^
