After the poor sale on the X1 and the 360, I'm not surpise at all.

I Hate REMASTERS

I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS

It's great it came on the PC so quick, but I'll wait for the first steam sale. To many games to play right now...and to many I plan on getting in January like Amplitude, The Legend of Heroes (loved the anime), and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

Wow I was going to buy it today for the X1. Glad I held off. I'll make sure it's not an absolute mess on PC and that I can run it at 60fps before I take the plunge though.

Well for the last 2 weeks i had an idea it would be jan thanks to the rumors plus them saying early 2016 but i guess it could still be early for some people.

Id also say that why it didnt release at the same time on PC was just that it wasnt ready, more then MS paying them to keep it off the platform. Since they where payed by MS to release the game first on their consoles, thats what they focus their development on, but clearly to release the PC version so soon they must of also been working on it too.

And as for why they didnt talk about it, is maybe they didnt want PC fans complaining about getting it later. But this way they feel lucky to be getting it since it might not of even released on the platform if you get what i mean??.

Both are garbage reasoning to be frank.

Both suppositions that

a) Square was polishing up a PC version

or

b) they don't want PC fans complainig

Are completly laugable. With the exception of a possible few, No game dev/pub gives a hoot about PC gamers, especially not Japanese ones. There's also no reason to spend an extra month polishing the game up from its X1 version, especially in the age of day one patches.

No, its wholly obvious that this entirely Square's decision after the sales on the X1. The only reason they didn't sell it simultaneously was because they expected much better performance. Waiting any longer on PC would cost them millions since the price is inevitably going to drop fast and they sold off their PS4 life raft

The is no proof at all that MS payed to keep the game off the PC so please do show me where you pointed this out to me?.

All we know is MS payed to get the game first and to make sure the PS4 didnt get it till at least a year after. If it was a thing that MS also payed to keep it off the PC wouldnt it be Launching much later like the PS4 version?, or do you really believe MS would pay for like 3-4 months exclusive deal to keep a game of a platform thats also their platform??.

And yes fans have been known to rage when hearing they are getting a game later, but have been known to be happy when they get a game they might not of got.

they couldn't if they wanted to MS doesn't have that kind of pull. And its not like they allowed it because of some silly PR that Windows is a MS xbox platform. They would need publishing rights todo that.

Hopefully they don't fuck up the timing with the PC release as well

Hopefully we get it earlier for the PS4 too:

Im pretty sure that MS is publishing the PC version.

Like they did with dead rising or Ryse Son of Rome?

Well, that's a lot sooner than we all thought.

At least Microsoft got the important Christmas sales all for their console.

M$ Say on E3 2105 not clearly of course but after days and no so lound, the game is exclusive to xbox on holiday seasson with small letters the "Holiday seasson" so the holidays over on junuary. i m sure they already porting the ps4 version and they searching the right month the ps4 has not so many exclusives.

Im sorry for M$... seems like their money didint bought them much exclusive time...

Its apparently bought them a year exclusive time on the only platform MS cares about keeping it off of.

One of the most puzzling double standards is how when MS has a game go PC its the end of the world but when you have a situation like SFV its almost like its seen as a good thing that Sony is allowing PC users to play too LOL.

Square apparently had to make concessions in the exclusive time period just to be able to announce the PC and PS4 versions. I doubt MS would allow an earlier PS4 version without more substantial benefits kicked back.

Sure, but what good is exclusivity if it doesn't lead to anything? There is no benefit to exclusivity unless it leads to a measurable increase in hardware sales. What was MS's main mistake was releasing on 360 in 2015. MS's main targets with this exclusivity are 7th gen gamers who are thinking about getting into the 8th gen. 360 owners are the most likely to go for Xb one but a lot of them are also switching to PS4. If they are well disposed to games like Tomb Raider and Uncharted then they would be leaning towards PS4 more than the Halo/Gears fans. So by putting Tomb Raider on 360 you actually end up incentivising fans of this genre to go for PS4, because they can play Tomb Raider on last gen and then buy PS4 when Uncharted comes out. PS3 owners OTOH may be tempted into xb one as they have no platform capable of playing Tomb Raider, but as there is considerable cross over of Tomb Raider fans and Uncharted fans is xbox exclusivity for a year enough when Uncharted is just around the corner?

It seems to me that this exclusivity deal was poorly thought out in terms of strategic benefits to MS, as there never seemed to be much in it for them.

The lessons we're likely to learn from SFV are that 1 letting a game go to PC doesn't matter too much, and it is better to take exclusivity on a franchise that is more popular on your platform. Fall Out 4 was the game MS should have taken console exclusive. It was far more popular on Xb 360 than ps3 and wasn't so big as to be way to expensive to keep off Ps4 for a year.
