The only good aspects of the Gamecube was REmake & Eternal Darkness. It was the only Nintendo home console I was not inspired to buy (until it happened again with Wii-U).
There are a ton of old classics people swear by and stick on their various old game lists that I hated. Altered Beast has always been garbage in my eyes, for example.
Agree with a previous poster, AAA games do not need to be 20+ hours long.
FPS are not the epitome of action game design. Action RPGs are super not the epitome of RPG design, pretty much the opposite.
I hated Final Fantasy 9. After playing 1-8, 9 felt like pandering and somehow generic. 12 was boring, despite looking and sounding gorgeous.
Dreamcast was not a great console. Noisy disk drive, awful controller, and library consisting mostly of shallow arcade games makes for a system I bought dirt cheap and barely played.
