That's great but someone should have asked him why they won't unlock when we put in a PS2 disc of the same game. I love my PS4, but he have to keep these guys (Nintendo and MS too) honest.

It's about profit margins. People don't mind businesses making money. But when a business makes a shit ton of it and decides that they want yet another sports car for their CEOs, when they all have 100 of them... people don't like it. PS4 could have free PS1,PS2 and PS3 BC and they'd still be killing it profit wise. They'd still be number one in the market and still be destroying Xbox and Nintendo. 

See all that is just your opinion, you actually havent a clue about what THE PROFIT MARGINS ARE WHAT THE COSTS OF BRINING BACK THESE TITLES TO PS4 ARE WHAT THE PRICE NEEDS TO BE TO EVEN CUT EVEN.

As far as I see it £11.99 for a game that will last me upwards of 30 hours is a bargain and as long as they bring games over that I'm interested in I'll happily pay for them.

If MS didn't offer for free the games to those who already purchased them then people wouldn't complain but really Sony doesn't need to defend themselves, fans will and are.

Xbox 360 and Xbox One has BC. Why? Because it's a low cost, high reward feature. It fosters good will between a company and it's die hard fans and presents a good image which is more than half the battle. Do you remember Sony at the pre-launch E3, presenting themselves as being the pro-consumer company? Mocking MS for being anti-consumer? That's how you win console wars... perception.

BC costs little to nothing and offers everything in return. In today's market, with social media and blogs, every lttle thing you can do to come off as the "good guy" goes a country mile and Sony is really missing out on that opportunity.

You win by offering a better product at lesser price, thats how PS4 won the war over the Xbox1.    (PS3 bc cost, it rasied the price of the hardware) most worthelss feature it had.  Thank god they got rid of it.  

Not really, people aren't saying they want the games for free, people are asking could they play the games they bought with money on the system. I'm not sure I ever got ps2 games for free, neither the ones on PS3's store nor the physical copies. Where did you see anyone asking for the ability to have the ps2 titles being offered here without paying?

Or you mean entitled to the ability to have BC on their console of a system from 2 generations ago which is capable of using the same media? You see, they might not be entitled, if it wasn't for Nintendo offering complete BC of the Wii on the Wii-U (the DS on the 3DS) and MS now offering 100+ titles both physical and digital running on the X1, for free (as long as you originally bought them, obviously).

Don't mistake questioning a brand who is charging for what others are offering for free... as entitlement, it is called being aware of what the competition is doing, when X1 was getting ready for launch, it was a complete in-ability to do this which basically put them on a path to be 2nd place to Sony this generation.
