Dude! You havn't a clue. You're complaining like all the other fools about things because THEY HAV'NT BEEN EXPLAINED! Its a trilogy, complain after the 2nd movie if the answers you want havn't been explained or addressed. Until then, trust in what they have planned. A true starwars fan would...and they are.

Ps. Ren is the best thing about it. An actual human character, who isn't fully formed. Obviously not intended to be anything like a Vadar or Maul..i mean, its obvious! We will grow as he grows. Absolutely brilliant writing for a character who still has so many secrets to reveal. He's not even a Darth yet!, jeeez.

I've watched it twice now, and it's great. I love it, all except for Han Solo dying. That sucked so bad I can admit I cried a bit in the theater and had to clean off my imax glasses.

People are allowed to have opinions and whether or not things are explained is besides the point. You say you are not a little interested in what exactly happened between end of 6 and this? Let's see what we know, New Republic, Han and Leia had a kid and Luke trained new Jedi. (One of those turned bad... just like the EU... :P). And a new evil organisation, who are apparently stronger than the old evil Empire and more powerful than the New Republic. Stupidly more powerful, enough to have a Resistance, even though they aren't even ruling, the New Republic are.

True Star Wars fan? Weird thing to say, enough people know enough about these films to be fans but they'd like to understand the stories in a single film. Trilogy or not, a single film should be able to stand on it's own.

Err... no. It wasnt specified anywhere. They just say it was the center of power of the new republic, but not that Coruscant was one of them.

And if you are trying to say that based on the imagery. Well... who knew Jakku wasnt Tatooine until they said so?

Just saw it. Man what a disappointment. Essentially a rehash of the original trilogy blended into one movie. It brings nothing new to the franchise at all. Not as bad as the prequels but so far from the original 3. Won't be buying this on blu ray.

I wouldn't go that far man but in my opinion it I t as good as the majority of people are making it out to be. They used references to the old films just way too frequent, infact I think that was 90% of the film and I hope this isn't the same for the next two in the trilogy. Overall I really enjoyed it, the new characters seem really interesting and can't wait to see how their stories evolve. I know the next two films have different directors so I hope they will relax on the previous films references, guess we'll have to wait and see.

He worst thing about it was, that the movie didn't prepare us at all. It wasn't a last resort situation and it felt like he still had things to do.

Han deserved a hero's death. Kylo should have been winning against Rey and Han should have stepped in and stopped the fight. Kylo should have seemed torn and then killed him while everyone escaped. Or maybe he should have been the one to take out the Starkiller. I don't know. I'm just a fan. I just wish his death wouldn't have been so "meh" considering the history behind him. It's like seeing Rick Grimes die from a zombie bite to the ass or something.

The movie introduced nothing new. George Lucas(as much as he fucked up the prequels) knew this. He said the ultimate story of Star Wars was the tradegy of Darth Vader, which was completely resolved in part 6 when he redeemed himself. He regained his humanity only by the love of his son. It was a beautiful story and that's why it still resonates through multiple generations today and will continue to do so. VII just rehashes the A New Hope with elements of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi infused into it.
