I'm so glad he listened to his friend and didn't dissapear. Just how bad was it?

The whole article has now been posted: http://www.newyorker.com/tech/elements/hideo-kojimas-mission-unlocked

How noble of him. Kojima is honorable af.

bet: lost

You confused me...

As long as it was only for a year I think his friend gave him the wrong advice. Sometimes doing a mental cleanse is exactly what's needed. As long as the year out isn't so you can wallow in your misery, but rather to become free of all entanglements and let the creative juices flow.

“The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.” - Bertrand Russell

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

Was that friend an agent of Sony?

That makes me more and more interested to hear what really happened behind the curtain, to know what caused this horrenduos fallout and Konami final descent to madness.Do you have a link to the article?

Edit:Never mind, I found it

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I agree. Too much stress can kill you.
