If you think of how Halo has kinda dropped off after Bungie dropped it and 343 took up the reigns, then multiply the drop off by 10, I think that's where the New Metal Gear is going.

prediction:

it will be a remake of the classic "Metal Gear" [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear_(video_game) ].
The game will be good, but will not receive universal acclain like the other Metal gears ( will get good grades, 80-85) or have amazing sales numbers ( it will have solid sales, but no "metal gear" level sales)....

They should start a new plotline in MGS. For Snake and all them are Kojima's baby. And the Storyline has pretty much been done over enough.
