I think that's far too conservative. I'm saying 2.5m at least.

If anything, its optimistic. Including the price.

Would be great if it came true. I'm still a bit skeptical about the strength of VR though.

I go with GG here and I think it will do 2.5m.

I'm looking forward to it, and will definitely get it, the kids will love it, but my only concern is my cat will probably try to eat it.... like he has with the TV...lol.

My only concern is if the companies try to charge £40 per game, I think £29 should be the upper limit to keep it cost effective for users..... though some games I would pay more, for example Eve Valkeri.

  • PSVR to be priced $299

Just to comment on this point. It's actually the PS4 which will be priced at $299. The example given being that the entry cost to VR is much cheaper on PS4 compared to buying a new PC.

That being said, IHS do believe the PS VR will be cheaper than high end competitors such as Oculus and Vive but they do not actually say what the price will be.

Think that's too low too. I am going to go with 2.5M at least. Of the around 40M PS4 owners out there around when PSVr launches, there has to be at least 10% of that user base that will get it at $300. How they feel about bit will determine how well PSvr goes on to do.

I also feel everything else is too high. With exception to occulus which I feel will sell at least 500k. Its for a platform that people spend much more than it costs for a GPU alone for crying out loud.

I also think the PSVR may launch at $300. but that price will drop fast. So I expect PSVR out around E3 but by Christmas its price to have dropped by as much as $100 to around $200.

I think Sony said they expected 1M so they'd be happy to have an extra half a mill
Wonder if in 20017 they'll be able to do a PS4+PSVR bundle for 400 dollars..
