2015 3DS sales in NA should be higher because they had the New 3DS bump this year, but I'd venture a guess it's flat or down otherwise this year.

And the DS has sold more than the 3DS, Vita, PS4, Xbone and Wii U combined.

Neither of these supposedly "shocking" facts are going to be true for too much longer! (though I reckon my fact will last longer than Scott Moffitt's)

As for 3DS selling faster this year than last, I don't suppose that would have something to do with the launch of the New 3DS earlier this year (in Europe and America). Yeah, when you release new hardware, you'd hope that came with an uptick in sales (and it really is not as big as it should be).

Yeah 3DS is waaaay behind the GBA, and that gap would be far larger if the DS didn't already launch cannibalizing GBA sales. 

GBC is probably fairly close to the 3DS too even though it only had 3 years on the market. Nintendo doesn't dileneate GBC sales from regular Game Boy though most GBs sold from late 1998-2001 are GBCs. 

I think DS had already a full year at that time, isn't it? It was released in 2004.
