Super Mario 3Dworld. If we are talking about 2d platformers then New super mario u is the most fun.

For me it's a tie between Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and Rayman Legends. Both are fantastic games.

I love how fast paced Rayman is, the controls are fantastic, and the musical levels were a fun addition, they could've made a whole game around, but the best thing by far is it's fantastic art style. that game is just gorgeous,

Donkey Kong is soo good as well though. I love snooping out all the secrets, again, it controls fantastically and it has a nice challenge curve. The sountrack is one of my favorites.

Both underrated games imo.

agree 100%

my 2 favorite platform games in 20 years.

I've probably played through more wii u platformers than any other console in my life.

Anyway, my preference out of the best of them:

Super Mario 3D World > Yoshis Wooly World > Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze > Stealth Inc 2 > Shovel Knight > Rayman Legends > Guacamelee > NSMBU > Kirby's Rainbow Paintbrush, Sonic Lost World.

What, no Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams, Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2 Director's Cut, Sonic Boom? :P

I really liked trine 2 a lot. I forgot that one. Not a fan of giana sisters. I had the original trine on pc and it was too similar to trine 2 for me to justify buying the new one. Only played the demo of sonic boom and it sucked. I have a number of other indie platformers on wii u like freedom planet and others. They range from good to mediocre.

From what I've played, DK:TF, Shovel Knight, 3D World, Rayman Legends, Guacamelee, NSMB:U, Kirby. I'll be picking up Yoshi at some point, I hope.

Tropical Freeze takes it for me; tight controls, clever level design, and one of most sublime video game soundtracks I have ever heard.

About all that holds it back from being a masterpiece is its lack of ambition.

I was just teasing, but fair enough. :)

Super Mario 3D World on top, then New Super Mario Bros U and DKC: Tropical Freeze

Signature goes here!

Curl I don't dare to ask you about New super Mario bros u, provided that you have not even include it in the poll, lol even though it's wii u's first or maybe second in the end platformer in sales, and a big seller! :P

There are many, many options I omitted from the poll; NSMBU, Guacamelee, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Boom, Giana Sisters, Trine, Trine 2, etc.

Ultimately, I pared it down the more popular ones and summarised the rest as "other", allowing people to specify their "other" in a post.

When I say "popular" I mean more how liked it is among forum goers. ;)
