Forums - General - What British TV programmes are popular in America?

Office UK isn't exactly popular here...except for fans of our Office who wanted to watch the original.

My friends and I are fans of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and all their stuff like Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, etc. Kinda seems like they're running out of steam though...Run Fatboy Run looks meh...oh and SeriousWB, Run Fatboy Run isn't out in the US yet, FYI.

Also, checking imdb.com, Simon Pegg was in Grindhouse as a cannibal? This is news to me, I need to watch for that haha. edit: And Nick Frost? edit 2: Ah, it was one of the fake trailers, Will Arnett narrated that as well.  I'll have to rewatch that haha.  I didn't realize they threw that many names into the trailers as well.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

and an imdb entry

Peep show is incredible! But I just don't think the humor would work overly well with an American audience.

*edit. Best coupling moment ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suslwi1hgn8&feature=related

Run Fatboy Run isn't so bad BenKenobi, and well worth the watch if you're a Pegg fan (as am I btw). Not quite Hot Fuzz standards, but how many comedies are?
Its a little more "feelgood" that previous Pegg movies and can get a bit cheezy, but I enjoyed it even still.
Also helps to have Hank Azaria, the worlds coolest Indian with the worlds most foxy daughter and the stunning Thanide Newton on the team.

"Oh, I remember her fondly, holding hands, walking in the park, but most of all I remember all the fucking..." "Ohh"... (stares longingly at picture of dead wife).

I watch a lot of  AbFab and Keeping Up Appearances and live in the US.

They show Keeping Up appearances, Are You Being Served and Faulty Towers on public television here and on cable there's BBC America.
