Technically, it hasn't... This conclusion is based on a illusory impression! The overall in Europe is higher than Wii u but just because of the UK... Xbox one is slaying the uk, it's not doing better than wii u in Europe essentially, you can't say that in general when the achievement  of xboxone is owing to just one european market, the biggest one... What if xbox one wasn't that extremely appealing in the UK? 

Vgc has xbox one at 4.1m  and at the impressive 2.1m in the UK so the 51% of it's european sales total are from the U.K, which is a spectacular occurence!

Wii u is still above and doing better than xbox one in France and Germany, and from old leaks on gaf the same happens in Spain and Italy! Wii u has the infelicity of doing terribly in the UK, otherwise the european sales total would be equal with xbox one's!

The fact is the Wii U is doing worse in europe than the xbox and it was out longer.  Xbox will be a lot further ahead too when all is said and done.  Nit picking certain markets is pointless.  The fact is both are small in the EU but xbox is a lot smaller. 

Slowly growing in popularity with every year that passes. A lot of retailers dont just do the Friday deals though, they extend it over the entire weekend.

Those are gigantic numbers, when you consider what the consoles were selling in Europe as a whole on a weekly basis. Both consoles are gonna be way over 1 Million units sold for the week, worldwide.

To clarify it further, I'll give  you a paradigm!

Let's say that Europe has 32 markets, wii u doing better in the 31 but xbox one in one and in vast extend, so much that puts it ahead of wii u overall, can you say though by this that xboxone is doing better in Europe?

Europe isn't only the UK one kart vita...  

When we say something we must  be specific if the case demands it, not talk in generalities!

What kind of comeback we talking here?, the kind where they are still in 3rd or 2nd place?.

I'm sorry but I'd understand you better if you used normal words instead of big fancy ones out of an Oxford students thesis.  It's really hard to follow what you say the way you talk.  

And after reading a second time I fully understand and again I think you're wrong.  The EU market as a whole includes the UK and in this EU market the xbox is bigger.  Fact.  

You can break things up all you want but the FACT is xbox is bigger.  And why do you ignore the FACT that the Wii U launched way earlier and yet the xbox is still doing better.  

Let me give you an irrelevant comparison.  If a country had a vote and it was split into 20 Provinces or counties.  16 of the counties voted no and 4 voted yes.  But the 4 that voted yes had the big cities and therefore more people actually voted yes.  This means the country as a whole voted yes.  

They don't say but but but most regions voted no.  Fact is there are more with an xbox in the EU region than a wii u which means,  wait for it... The xbox is bigger in the EU despite launching much later.
