Multiplat? And you mention a Nintendo console? Have you been loving under a rock for the past 18yrs???????

There won't be a PS5/XB2 before 2018. that means you have at least 3-4 years to enjoy them. And I don't think there is anything about what Nintendo is now or has done in the last and current gen to make you think they will make a console that is on oar or more powerful than a PS4.

Think of it this way. Its all about that BOM. If Nintendo is making a console that they sell for $300? And I'm talking about a basic traditional console. And that console is being sold for any kinda profit, then there is no kinda sorcery they can do to make it more powerful than the PS4. Especially when u consider that by the time the NX launches (assuming it comes out next year) it will be competing against a console that not only costs around $250 or less by that time but also has an install base of over 45M.

That last part is what's important. Multi..... third parties go where the money is. unless you're willing to money hat. which Nintendo has never shown that they do. And at that time, the install base of the NX will be too small to justify and full blooded third party support. especially when we are talking about the same games being released across three platforms.

In summary. if you wanna buy for Nintendo games. Then by all means get an NX. of you wanna buy for multiplats and the odd exclusive that may not come to your PC, then get a Ps4. If you want to game with your friends and aren't interested in Sony exclusives. then get the XB1.

Will PS4 will be revalent probably till 2019/2020 and it will stay best console for multiplat regardless NX, so if looking best miltiplat console PS4 is clear winer.

On other hand you are fan of Nintendo games, so you can wait few months for NX reveal and then decide, do you want best multiplayer console or new Nintendo console.

I am in similar position, my initial plan was to buy PS4 next year, but now I thinking maybe I will buy NX on launch and delay PS4 purchase till PS4 Slim arrives and another price cut...

Invest in your PC or get a PS4. There's no question.

You should NOT be asking this question yet. There is no possible way for us to answer a question about a system that people no NOTHING about. If I were you, I would wait until NX is not only announced, but you know its game line up. PS4 still has at least 3 or 4 years left, waiting a year to see if you want NX instead won't hurt.

as some have stated, dont know how you have faith in Ninty to buy NX day one. PS4 is a safer bet as it has been proven those consoles WILL get the games, and Xone to a lesser extent

What has ninetndo ever done to make you think that or even consider a nx right now.  All nx is on here is pipe dreams of old ninetdno fans.  Its crazy people have so much hope in something they know nothing about from a company thats been stinking up the console gamer verse for a decade now.  

NX will get about medicore to wiiu like 3rd party support.  Expecting anything lese is just blind hope.

Really? Wii U gets like one worthwhile game every six months or so...that barely qualifies as support.

So buy your count Wii U for 3 years would have only 6 worthwhile games!? Nintendo Wii U games till December: Nintendo Land, NSMBU, W101, Pikmin 3, Zelda WW HD, Mario 3D World, DKTF, Mario Kart, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Wariors, Toads Treasure Tracker, Smash Bros, Splatoon, Yoshi Wolly World, Mario Maker, Xenoblade X..

I don't think NX will be more powerful than ps4 and xb1 and even if that does happen, the system needs to prove that multiplatform games are gonna be there which there is no way to guarantee that will happen.

If you are looking for a system for multiplatform titles, you are better off buying a ps4/xb1 or PC.
