Is it just me or do old games look better in their original resolution on a CRT compared to HD. I honestly think they look better played in their original form. HD versions just make them look much more antiquated... if that makes any sense lol.

I've been regarding my wiiU as 'the Zelda Machine' for a while now. I think it might have the most Zelda games on one console ever, despite ironically not having it's own Zelda game yet. But between the Virtual Console of the gba and DS being added and the remakes and Spinoffs I've had a lot of Zelda this gen.

As for your question, a collectors pack, especially if it contained the VC games/1080p ports of the older Nes/Snes/Handheld titles as well would be awesome, but I think the possibility is fairly low. I think they might do smaller packs though. The Moment to do something like an Ultra pack for Zelda would be the Anniversary and I don't think NX will be out in time.

I think we'll see it happen, but it's going to be waaaaaay down the road. I mean, we're still waiting for a 3D Mario collection with 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1, and Galaxy 2.
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess will be just fine, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask however I think need to be remastered completely in HD, that would require a complete overhaul in the game's graphics and aesthetics so that all the textures look very smooth, nice, and original to an extent. Because, I ain't gonna lie, the 3D remakes in 1080p like in those pictures don't look very good.
I think remastering those 2 games in HD would drive up the development costs and time.
So I think it'll be quite a while before we see a 3D Zelda collection.

Nintendo is getting away with releasing every Zelda individually at full price. Why would they ever decide to throw easy money away by combining them into one collection? They'd be more inclined to re-update each game again and re-rerelease them before they hurt the games' value.

The only games I could see being remastered and then released as a collection would be Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass, solely because those games wouldn't sell on their own if ported.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I kinda get what you mean, except the CRT part, I'm too spoiled by modern TV's to go back to using those xP

To be fair though, I mainly play remakes to see my favorite games with better graphics, but I'd still choose to play the original games any day, especially with Majora's Mask, the remake kind of sucked for me, too many changes :(

They're getting away with it now, but I don't think they'd get away with it again. Not for a while anyway!

With all these remakes of 3D Zelda games coming out, like Majora's Mask 3D, and Twilight Princess HD, I don't think a collection would be too far off from actually happening.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I mean OoT3D is technically the second time they've remastered OoT, the third if we count TP, and TPHD will be the fourth. TPHD is coincidentally the sixth time they've remastered LttP!

Jokes aside, it's Nintendo. They'll find a way to get away with doing it again if they want to, and we'll all buy them up again anyway.

I think financially it makes a lot of sense. Since I already own OoT3d, MM3d, Windwaker HD, Skyward Sword, and Twilight Princess I doubt I'd get it. Literally the only "enhancement" would be going from TP to TPHD.

I have a 28in CRT that I use to play any systems from the PS2 generation and back. I use an HDTV for everything else. You'd be amazed at how amazing NES, Genesis, Dreamcast, PS2 and Gamecube games look on a CRT. They actually look MUCH better.

I'd definately suggest hunting an old CRT down and using it for retro gaming. It's so much better imo.
