I doubt it. There are room for both to coexist. I think XB1 will be just fine.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Xbox definitely isn't going anywhere. Folks need to keep this in mind. Just because the PS4 is doing extremely well, doesn't mean the Xbox One isn't doing well at all. It's still pulling great numbers. The PS4 is just beasting out of control.

Xbox One probably will eventually slow down in sales like the Xbox did back in the 6th Gen, but it is going to end up in second place overall. There are three reasons why.
1) The Wii-U is basically dead, with a poor holiday lineup with next to no AAA games. Its almost certainly getting replaced by the NX in 2016, with most of the supposed Wii-U exclusive games ported to it.
2) Microconsoles like the Ouya have flopped as few people wanted to play games intended for a tablet, only with a cheap controller. Porting a wireless controller driver to Android and calling it a day didn't work out for them.
3) Theres still a market for people wanting an all-in-one gaming and entertainment solution. Xbox One has better media playback features than the PS4 and backwards compatibility, while in comparison PS4 has better exclusive games.

But no. There's still money on our ship... The PS4 also does not cater to me, but my personal preferences are mutually exclusive to some of the people that the PS4 does cater to... |
How is it anything like 7th gen with the tables turned? That would suggest PS4 getting the early lead with XB1 later overtaking it, that's not likely at all.
My description makes a lot of sense, PS4 winning easily, XB1 is competitive in America but nowhere else and Wii U is in a distant 3rd primarily sold to hardcore fans.

What? Japan was N64s worst market, even getting outsold by Saturn. It did pretty well in America however selling about 20 million.

It is when you remember it overtook it when the gen was over, so it isn't that hard to believe...

For me it doesn't offer anything compelling that I can't get elsewhere.

Sorry I meant America not Japan!

What games do you enjoy? PS4 has a lot of genres to offer.
