The Mario Party franchise has been running for well over a decade. Some are considered good, some are considered bad. Which one do you think is the best, and why so?

My personal favorite is Mario Party 3.

I enjoyed the DS one a lot... until my L and R buttons broke D:

Mario party 3 is my fav. But 1 and 2 are also fun. Might have to get an n64 again and track those games down.

I think my fav was 7, it had good single player modes along with the fun multiplayer options.

4 and 5 are my favourites. I loved the boards and Mini Games, as well as the basement extra game mode in 4, then the vehicle combat, sports and other modes in 5 made it fantastic to me.

2 is my favorite, the costumes were charming and the minigames so much fun, followed by 9 which tried something differentl, also love its soundtrack, and a third would be Advance with its pretty amazing single player.

I'd probably say Mario Party 3 is best, lots of great and balanced mini games.  Mario Party 8 is probably the worst, a lot of the mini games I remember required alot random waving the wiimote as if Nintendo didn't really know how to incorporate motion controls well into it. I'm still heavily enjoying MP 9&10 as well, tons of fun!

The N64 ones are the best overall. If I had to choose one I'd say Mario Party 3 because it's the most refined. 2 had costumes and awesome mini games, but horrible boards. Mario Party 1 was the fastest, but the mini games broke control sticks :/. GCN ones were pretty solid though.
