Amiibo Party certainly has a lot of good assets that could be used for a Wii U version of Animal Crossing. Alternatively though, they could be ported over to the NX and used there. For all we know Nintendo are deep into an NX Animal Crossing and have already done this.

That is really bold prediction, I don't see why they would announced Animal Crossing game for Wii U and not for NX instead, especially when probably NX will arrive next year.

Whether NX is 2016 or 2017 doesn't really make a difference, software development for the system has started already, so at this point there's no reason to be developing Wii U/3DS games instead of NX games. Even when the Wii U was over a year away still, I'm pretty sure 2011 had no significant Wii announcements, just throwaway filler like Mario Party 9. Expect similarly for Wii U in 2016 even if NX is 2017.

Don't agree, because Pikmin probably isnt game for launch in first few months in 2016, remember on Nintendo Direct we had only titles we getting till end this year and in first few months in 2016.

NX if there will be one. And Nintendo probably don't care for the measly 10m Wii U owners, quite confident there will be more NX owners even if the whole 10m fan base decided not to buy Nintendo any more.
