Whether NX is 2016 or 2017 doesn't really make a difference, software development for the system has started already, so at this point there's no reason to be developing Wii U/3DS games instead of NX games. Even when the Wii U was over a year away still, I'm pretty sure 2011 had no significant Wii announcements, just throwaway filler like Mario Party 9. Expect similarly for Wii U in 2016 even if NX is 2017.
