I would probably be less annoyed with Nintendo if they came into my house, punched me in the face and took my money than with them releasing shit like this...

Wow I'm amazed this app got a review. I mean I can see why because you play a crane game-esque game powered by microtransactions (just like real life!) to earn stuff but I don't think it should warrant a full review.

Nintendo kind of crosses a line with Badge Arcade. With other "free-to-start" games like Steel Diver, Pokemon Rumble, etc, you spent money on something relatively tangible, be it vehicles or in-game currency, and they could be largely ignored. Here, you aren't guaranteed anything even if you spend money, and that price tag frequently visits the bottom screen.

I downloaded this, and will likely use a couple of badges to label folders. Having all of my NES Virtual Console games in the folder with the 8-bit Mario sprite works better than any alternative available. But this is a troubling step.

Sounds like straght up gambling to me. Not something nintendo should market to kids.

I wonder if they see it as an experiment. Are people going to cough up cash for tiny things they would never normally buy if applied to gambling?

Certainly not a direction i want to see nintendo go. Sure, theres a lot of cash in the gambling industry, and its an area nintendo has the skills to go, but I'd rather have a Nintendo that focuses on making peoples lives happier.

Now what is gonna save the 3DS?
Nintendo is doomed.
