Forums - Sales - Fallout 4 Ships 12 Million, Generates $750 Million

Looks like we have a new metric to follow.

Fallout 4's release caused Pornhub's traffic to plummet

While Bethesda is celebrating record-setting sales for the newly released Fallout 4, not everyone is happy with the open-world, action-RPG's release. Pornhub, no stranger to Fallout 4 (remember the leaked gameplay video?), made specific note today that traffic plummeted upon the release of the highly anticipated game.

"Like watching a good Pornhub video, anticipation of the release had been building up, and once the moment arrived, dedicated gamers thought of little else – including visiting Pornhub," the company wrote.  (Continued)

LOL

I remember when Fallout was a relatively niche PC series before Fallout 3. Same with Elder Scrolls. Bethesda sure knows how to make IP's appealing to mass audiences.

Brilliant.

Guess those posters every 4ft in London have pushed the game somewhat, then. Good stuff.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Wow... if they can sell those 12m units until December 31... it'll probably be Bethesda biggest game ever.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Yeah, and some things are better left that way.

I am curious to know the breakdown in platform sales. After the Witcher 3 sales results, I'm expecting a huge % of those sales are on PS4.

We only know so far that least on steam it sold/was downloaded 1,2 million times or something. It means only 10% of the sales were on pc if its true

Bought it on XB1 and PS4, ended up keeping the XB1 version and selling PS4 version to a friend.

Great game!

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

its higher than 10 percent because this is sold in, while PC is sold through. im expecting a massive number of units shipped, and sell through to not be as close. but it will continue to sell through out the holiday. they probably shipped enough to cover them up until black friday.

If it was on the Wii u it would have sold 12.1 million! Such a wasted opportunity...

Game would have to be 480p to even run on the Wii U. jk
