That emulation is running on a much powerfull hardware than a WiiU though, and the standar emulation without all the super HD textures added and improved shadder effects doesn´t look better than the remaster.

a pc emulate the game which needs alot performance, so in the end the end a game that runs nativly on wii u should look WAY better as an emulated game on an pc.

So by the time it comes out, it will have been in the oven for at least 26 months. That seems an awful long time just to change some textures and add Amiibo functionality.

Then again, there might be new features they haven't talked about yet.

Yeah, with these screenshots, it's much easier to see the difference. It looks good enough for a HD port, the problem was that people were expecting tech demo levels of graphics.

There definitely are some. They've said that it's more of a complete rework than a simple port, and you don't take 26 months for a port. Even if you're a relatively small team.

I'm not worried, Tantalus know how to do good rework/port/remake/whatev

They said in the direct there was new features, but they will talk about those at another time.

Off screen play and a Gamepad menu seem like givens.

Hopefully it also includes gyro aiming.

Nobody knows if this is the same port as what was announced back then. Projects get started and cancelled all the time, especially for consoles struggling like Wii U and Vita. To me this proves nothing yet.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

It's not proof technically, but it sure as hell sounds like TPHD: looking for people with "Wii and Wii U development experience", AAA port, not MA rated. That the same company is later revealed to be working on a game that fits the bill perfectly would be quite a coincidence.

They are almost certainly included with probably some sort of hero mode and other adjustments to make the game flow better. Maybe even a new dungeon and side missions.

TP could certainly do with some trimming, I'll say that much. It didn't have as much fat as Wind Waker, (I actually think they should have cut that game more extensively in the HD remaster, get rid of the Triforce shard quest altogether and make the swift sail available from the get go) but there are a fair few segments that weighed down TP's pacing.

I doubt we'll see extra dungeons or anything like that though, this doesn't seem like a port with that much investment.

They should have invested a bit into a new lighting engine that would have made the game look better. Also I don't think making comparisons to TP Dolphin is fair. Tantalus also had to port the game.
