This post is extremely hypocritcal and shows moderation bias.People from all sides do the same thing, but you single him out? I have never seen a mod on any forum do something like this. This should not be allowed. The mods on this site are a huge joke.

That sentence isn't fair. I see just as much baiting and trolling from the XB camp. Atually some seem to get away with too much. Don't just single him out like this because it's fucked up.

and while I'm a big fan of Tachi, I've had similar concerns with other users/mods.

The user in question has a long history of inciting and contrbituing towards console vs console trolling, baiting and flaming, i'm not saying fans of the xbox are innocent, i'm not saying any particular fanbase is innocent or guilty, just that for a long time now people have been openly passing along snide remarks particularly towards the Xbox One, in most cases these remarks are dealt with, but at the same time the xbox community of this site is significantly smaller than the playstation and nintendo communities, thus what happens is a heavy bias in the frequency of reported posts, a frequency that favors the playstation and nintendo fans.

In this particular instance, the user has a combination of an extensive history causing trouble based on nothing more than the platform being different, and a documented propencity for pre-meditation of particular attacks and approaches both on site and off.

As such he is now banned from referencing the xbox, he isn't banned from posting or joining in with discussions for other consoles but until he has shown a believable, genuine willingness to curb his attitude and approach towards topics involving the Xbox, he will not be permitted to be involved in Xbox discussions.

As for "singling out", that is generally what happens when the content of a users post lands them in trouble, moderations are handled on a person to person basis, so singling out a particular user for their behaviour is the entire point of modering a particular user.

Simply saying "hey people, could you please stop attacking each other" has been tried in the past, and it gets completely and utterly ignored, which is why this approach is being taken as a last ditch attempt.

If he changes his attitude and shows signs of improvement, then the ban on xbox topics will be lifted, if he does not then the ban stays, it's as simple as that. You may find it harsh, but for someone with 34 infractions for trolling and flaming, it's clear the usual moderation approach just isn't getting through, so I'm hoping this approach will.

You can call that bias, you can call it hypocritical, you can call it whatever you want, however, Abun, saying "The mods on this site are a huge joke" based on a single moderators actions is uncalled for.

On a personal note, if anyone would like to try and imply that i'm biased towards the Xbox One, i've got some news for you..

Isn't ps4 down yoy with a price cut?

I think so, probably the product of a thin 2nd half for 1st party titles, though who knows what'll happen in November.  I think it's close right now, so if November's huge, it could push it back to YoY gains.

Can't speak for everyone, but I expected an MS win, just had no clue by how much.  The Amazon sales in October 'suggested' it would be close, but I usually let others who're far, far better with analysis break that stuff down.   I just figured...well, it's Halo.

That's what I was pointing out. Him saying "Everyone and their mothers..." is blatantly ignoring how users have been reacting to the PS4 price drop announcement.

Yeah, only a Sith deals in absolutes ;)

I know. That jmurph guy seems to not get that. Everyone and their mothers were expecting halo 5 to destroy ps4 and to only have a 30k gap and barely 300k consoles is a huge shock.

Its not downplaying, it's a fact. Halo did not perform like halo. Simple as that.

Bull. You know that's not true.

Maybe not on here but yes, the general consensus was that halo 5 month would be a huge boost for the Xbox platform. I've read numerous threads and forums from ppl saying the Xbox platform would start to win the us once halo 5 dropped.

YouTube, n4g, neogaf, all were saying how xb1 would dominate. Not sure where you've been but that's all I've been reading from the hardcore Xbox fans for two years.

You can tell their is no winner when no company bother releasing some good PR.
But I honestly believe the biggest looser of the month is the PS4. If someone had told me the Xbox One would only do 304k this month. I would have bet a lot of money that PS4 won the month because of the price cut.
Bad month overall, congrats to MS for the win.

Seriously...Even here we were saying Xbox would win. Heck I bet on it, I was that sure. What was exciting is that it went from being an expected slaughter to some serious competition. Granted both numbers are bad overall.  Hopefully PS4 sales were low because people were choosing to pre-order the upcoming bundles instead.

I just have to say, what a downright awful NPD from everyone. Holy fuck.

Sony is down YoY with a price cut, NDC sold less than friggin Yoshi's Wooly World, and Halo sold less than 1 million. Just wow. Absolutely shit numbers from all fronts.

That is a flop if I ever saw one. Looks like social media was right about Halo flopping.

I´m not french, but since spanish is similar in some ways I can easily read what is written there and it says that those are the sales of 2 weeks of Halo 3, 1 week of Halo 5 and 3 weeks for the other Halo games. So is not a totally fair comparison.

nevermind! power of edit

I said since the price cut.

And while the NDC bundle came out on top of Amazon, people disregarded the preorders of that $500 console
