Since I haven't decided on my final top 50, I'll do some of my bridesmaids for funsies.

Bridesmaid #1
A stunning game for the time as it released late in this console's lifecycle. While the story wasn't great, the game itself was very fun to play and epic as you explored the stars.

Bridesmaid #2
While this combat system has been made standard across many games, it was a very unique system for 3D action/brawlers. I had fun shutting the crazies down.

#2: Arkham Asylum?

That is correct. I made it pretty easy with the last comment though.

Nope, you're sort of on the right track with genre though.

Europa Universalis 4 (or whichecer is the last in the series :-p )

Not that one either.

It did help confirm my guess but it's actually the first part that led me to it since the B:AA combat style has been reproduced so many times now.

EDIT: BTW is #1 Ratchet & Clank - Tools of Destruction?

Ok, hints:

#50: The following game in the franchise is the highest selling in the series. However, many find this game to be the superior one.

#49: A new entry to my list but not a new game. This is the latest in the numbered series which features highly addictive but incredibly long sessions.

Well damn. Uuuuhhh. Uuuuuh Total War something (Rome II)? I'm clueless.

Anyway, I'm reserving EU IV for a later guess, I'm sure it's on your list somewhere

Fair enough.

and #1 isn't Ratchet. Ratchet was year 2 of PS3's lifecycle. :-/

That's still pretty early. I just remember it coming out during the "PS3 has no games" phase.

Re-read the hint. I said this game released late into the console's lifecycle.
