this is from the PS4:

Looks alright to me.

Sure in the future we will have more realistic fire, lightning, animations, better detailed models, better looking nature, fur and hair. There is plenty of room for improvement left.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
No i dont think so, thats why we also get these remasters because the last gen games still look good
Please no.
I'm fine with 1080p. I'm sick and tired of hearing "nice graphics" being sacrificed for things that make the game good.
I don't care if we have 1080 until the tenth generation. Whoop-de-doo. I don't care. Just make constant 60 frame-per-second games, complete games, and large worlds before you hop onto 4k, 8k, etc etc.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.
I think we will see better graphics with more computational ressources. Its just the Hardware development slowed down too.
On still pictures there will not be much difference but when the game moves the difference will be obvious. We still do not have good enough water. Animation, Physics. The image quality also can improve, real time lighting and so on there is still alot to improve.
I put yes. Here's why.
I don't think either system is tapped out. There are always new software API's that accomplish more with less so that works well with consoles.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
Yes, we will. I'd imagine they'll keep pushing the graphics, until we're playing using picture perfect people in completely real world looking settings.

If you're talking about the looks of a game, the question can be answered both ways.
Still image: There won't be a big change in the near future. Sure the picture can always be more crisp, the level of detail in backgrounds is still rather low and there are still things like hair that haven't reached a very realistic level either, but there won't be anything groundbreaking.
in motion: Wow there is a lot of potential left. Framerate, animations, physics (destruction, hair collision, rain etc.), enemies on screen etc.
