As much as I love my wii u, and it's the only console I own this gen, I must say I haven't played an epic game on it yet. Great games, that's for sure, better for me than what the others have to offer, but still, not a single epic game.

The last Nintendo game that I thought it was epic was Super Mario Galaxy, it had its flaws obviously but when I played it I was amazed almost every level of it. If I had played Xenoblade back then that would be another epic game, but I only played it recently on wii u's vc and although I love it the graphics were not as good to call it epic.

My favorite genre is rpg's, followed by platformers. This gen wasn't epic for me, but I have faith anyway. I'm hoping for the NX to be so much better :)

I love Bayonetta 2, DK tropical freeze, Hyrule warriors, Project Zero, Mario kart 8... they are all great and I had fun with almost every game I have (nearly 25 I think) but I wouldn't say any of them is epic.

Bayonetta 2 and tropical freeze are very close to being epic now that I think of it, but I would have killed for bayonetta to be an rpg and that would have made the game epic for me, and though I was like this :O all the time while playing DKTF with its perfect ost and awesome level design, I must confess I had to stop playing because I found it really difficult. Fuck that huge octopus! :P I died like 30 times and finally gave up :(

You should read again. I'm surprised to see so many people in the same camp like me.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

When did gaming turn into such a whinefest??

Agreed. There aren't that many epic single player games this gen for Wii U. However Pikmin 3 was pretty good. And after two more years, Xenoblade X should be good too. (Oh forgot Bayonetta 2 even though that's more third party)

I think Nintendo also recognized this problem and that's why the first two out of three Wii games on eShop were Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Prime Trilogy.

That said, the Wii U has a lot of great multiplayer and co-op games. But if you're looking for more dedicated single player games, the Wii U may not be the best bet.

You were proven wrong very quickly. That's why pretty much everyone disagrees with you.

plus you don't seem to acknowledge that a Xenoblade game is coming out in a month. Considering the size of it, it's probably Nintendo's most "epic" game of all time.

They're still here. Still making epic games for 3DS, Wii U, AND NX.

Egh.. this thread tires me out. They are still here, they are still making awesome games. I dont think it was them that changed.

They went HD and couldn't afford to anymore.

It is on 3DS, at least from my point of view. There are some really amazing games in 3DS.
