Hi guys, I just joined a few minutes ago.

I wouldn't be surprised if MS edged out a slight win for BF, but I'm not certain how reliable this infoscout is. Yes, they analyze 100s of ks of shopping receipts, but if you look at the actual fine print on some of their articles, only a fraction of those may actually be towards the items they're talking about.

Their analysis of 2014's Black Friday results, for example, references 180k receipts, but only 2k of those actually purchased games or consoles.

I'll quote the article: "InfoScout panelists submitted 180k+ receipts over the course of Black Friday. Of the 180k receipts submitted, 2k receipts included a games-related purchase."

Infoscout has overtracked Xbox One every year. Why would they be accurate now? Most of InfoScouts reciepts are from Target, and Target usually has the better deals regarding Xbox One, so the overestimations are expected.

Update – 2015-11-30

"Due to popular demand, we’ve augmented the post to include a breakdown by major gaming console.

At Target and Walmart, the Xbox One + Gears of War bundle barely outsold its rival PS4 + Uncharted Bundle. Yet, strong PS4 sales at Amazon.com and other retailers were enough to edge out the Xbox One for top sales this Black Friday season".

guys they already gave an update or a better explanation to the result. ps4 ended up selling better but it was pretty close according to them.

Talked of that 3 hours ago XD. Though this thread does go quite fast.

I know it was Cyber Monday and its current showing in the hourlies is in no way representative of how it might perform otherwise, but I get the feeling that if Nintendo officially and permanently cut the Wii U to $250 it could spur a pretty decent increase in sales. I guess it all depends on if the cost to make a unit has declined enough, or if Nintendo just doesn't care anymore how much it sells.

Uncharted 4 got into the top 100, with no price incentive at all.

Not true.

Theres a 15% preorder sale right now for Cyber Monday. It got me to preorder Horizon and Uncharted 4. I tried to preorder FFVIIR too, but that one didn't qualify for the sale.

I didn't open the item section, but it was listed at $59 there.
If it had a deal it was showing inside the item section, then.

EDIT: Yup, went to check it now, it has a 15% discount code under the description.

We should hopefully have the december thread up sometime today (1st of december), just have to co-ordinate things with Shadow (we live 6 time zones apart :-3 ).
