Two months Black Ops Preorders + three months Star Wars preorders + PS4 domination for 3 weeks + PS4 winning easily for 3 days (so far) + Black Friday deals = 'You'd have to be insane to believe the PS4 wasn't going to win this month'

There are people here that are still hoping that on Black Friday, the X1 will achieve some kind of astronomical figures that will somehow surpass what the Ps4 has been doing for 3 months.

same people who were stating sony had october in the bag are saying the same this month. lmao, reality is going to smack on the face like a pizza in the sky.

I think you're the one who need a dose of reality. :p

I fail to see why people's opinion of Sony having this month in the bag seems so bizarre to you. It's not a strange opinion at all when you consider current statistics. Of course, the month isn't over yet, and anything can happen, but it's a very plausible outcome.

Comparing it to last month's claims doesn't make much sense. While some were claiming that Sony had it in the bag in October, it really wasn't as clear-cut as some were thinking, because they were both pretty close. The Halo 5 pre-orders  definitely helped the Xbox One.

November is a completely different animal. Sony has been dominating the charts so far this month, while having September and October pre-orders of the limited edition SWBF bundle, and October pre-orders of the standard SWBF bundle and COD bundle added to this month, greatly increasing its lead.

In order for Microsoft to overcome this lead and win the month, they wouldn't just have to win Black Friday, but to completely crush Sony on Black Friday, which doesn't seem likely, considering they don't have the major price advantage they had last year. With all that mind, predicting that Sony has it in the bag, doesn't seem like a farfetched opinion.

By the way, you haven't said anything useful in this thread so far, except for saying incredibly odd things and ignoring facts. There's nothing wrong with having a different opinion, but at least base it on some factual sales data, because after all, this is a sales thread.

Well stated. Agree on all fronts.

The sheer amount of bundles and lightening promotions make predicting this month outcome dificult.

I think Batlefront bundle preoders will give the PS4 the edge. But not by much.

I'm not gonna make the call this month myself. On paper, this should be an easy PS4 win, but the crazy MS fire sales could work in their favor. We're talking at least two weeks of free games, plus an all around fifty dollar reduction for the console itself on Black Friday could swing things their way. God knows they have a LOT of units available. I still think Sony should have matched them on that deal instead of leaning on the NDC bundle.

MS knows they have a hard time moving the X1 without having to shovel in extra incentives. They know people are impulsive buyers as well. A lot of people are going to bite just because of the holiday shopping season and they'll be looking for the most for their buck.

The placement of out of stock bundles gives a curious indication of how much more volume is moving in the higher spots; if a bundle is trailing one that you cannot even buy, how impactful can it really even be to overall sales? Looking at where it's been and what's trailed it should give us a pretty good indication of important it is to hold those higher spots, like Sony typically has. Hell, this might mean that, after 50, you're not really affecting much at all. If that is the case, the monthly November chart is painting a pretty bleak picture for MS.

Wow X1 quickly dropped once the deals stopped.  Crazy even after all the exclusives and marketing X1 sales are still so dependent on deals.

I guess the SE star wars bundle really was limited or did much better than expected.

Im guessing the charts for the next few days won't mean much since this is probably one of the slowest time of year for sales.

Damn X1 bundles falling quickly now that the deals are over. They are going to have to have a really strong BF to take this this month.

Sony officially announce the $300 Black Friday deal:
