In Fallout do people really care about graphics? 3 and NV weren't exactly graphical powerhouses yet the games stand for themselves.
Hmm, pie.

I would say some do to a certain degree, at least on PC where there are a plethora of visual enhancement mods in the 100's it not thousands over the years. That and mods that change up the gameplay to make it realistic, balanced or silly.
I won't mind playing Vanilla F4 for a while but I definitely do want to slap some mods onto it to change things up a bit, did the same with F3, NV and Skyrim and I'll carry on doing so.

OK people , I get it that some of you like playing Bethesda games for other things then graphics. But this is laughable, and nobody should put up with this crap in 2015 for 60$. This was without a doubt made for the PS3/360 and then they scaled it up quickly, seeing how fast the playerbase dropped on those systems.
Sub par, like pretty much every game they release...

I guess it was acceptable in 2013 and 2014 when the majority of PS4 titles were cross-gen multiplatform titles or remastered PS3 titles, and Fallout 4 is better looking than the vast majority of those games.
So despite having an engrossing story and gameplay with tons of things to do and hundreds of hours of content (WITHOUT the need for any DLC to pad its length like so many other current gen games I might add), this game isn't worth $60 in your book simply because its graphics aren't as pretty as some other games made specifically for PS4 or X1?
If that's the case, I take it RYSE should've been a huge system seller on X1, and The Order 1886 is a candidate for GOTY in your book and is totally worth $60 because DEM GRAFIKZZ!!111

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
This and the other identical Fallout 4 thread are just going to go down that ever so ugly road of "I like the visuals" vs people that don't like the visuals and it's going to just get worse from there, all of it could be avoided if the "I like the game for what is it is" camp could just let others have an actual opinion on the game for what it is. I mean since it's reveal yes some have pointed out that they think it looks ugly but more so over the past few months more and more are complaining at those who have issues with the visuals to a point where there are now more people defending why they love the game and the game itself vs those who simply have a few issues with the visuals and outnumbering them.
If you truly love and like the game for what is is then simply nod your head and don't let someone's view hurt your own. I myself don't think it looks anything too fantastic but I know mods will make it so in given time and I still plan on getting the game, my opinion in no way should dampen a person who's completely comfortable with the current visuals as they are.
I feel out of all this discussion is that we're just going to get people who force their own views over others opinions on visuals, that is to say no one can ever appreciate nice visuals unless they are told to do so by someone else who thinks they are up to their own standards.

not the prettiest?
you realize that there are few if NONE games are there so far this generation that are the size of what this game is projected to be with the amount of details / activities that have this quality of visusals right? its the combination of things
you can't take any random game that has 1/100 of the game space and compare it to something giant in terms of visuals. Bear in mind that there are supposed to be very few loading screens in this game... Meaning that there are a lotttt of things that need to be maintained on the screen visually. you can't get your cake and eat it too
I hear a lot of complaints about this games visuals but it seems to generally come from people who have no grasp on how difficult it is to have a game with a map size like this and DETAIL like this to look current gen top of the line. examples like GTA are terrible because you can't enter the majority of building in that game, you can't interact with the majority of people in that game (beyond the simple mowing them down with a car). in the Fallout series you generally can do something with the vast majority of buildings and NPC's, there aren't just masses of generic AI running around or sitting in the enviroment
its all about detail and scope. if this game wanted to achieve the best graphics of the generation it wouldn't have anywhere near the sheer size and it certainly wouldn't really be a Fallout game in the sense of what the series is about
I personally think the screenshots look great, and even better when considering that this game's priority is open adventure, choices, large world- not visuals
| Ruler said: The game doesnt look great at all and its 30fps 1080p on both platforms |
its 30 FPS because the world is giant. you can only (currently with how those consoles are built technologically) do so much in terms of scope and graphics. The consoles limit the developers in that respect.
we know that for certain when considering the PC version does not have the same constraints. but, again, if you mind then just why not play it on the computer? if graphics is your concern or FPS
Looks amazing to me, especially when you consider the scale of the game. LOL @ anyone upset about graphics in a Bethesda game.
Looking forward to the mods more then anything, New Vegas has some of the best mods out there.
Wow so much hate for Fallout 4 graphic, prepare your self for the next Fallout 5 will look almost identical to Fallout 4 lol, from now on graphic improvement will not take a distance leap, and difficult to differentiate from the pervious one, everything is getting look so real.
