Forums - Gaming - Fallout 4 PS4 Screenshots

I'm fine with graphics, I'm more concerned about whether or not Bethesda learnt anything from Obsidian...you know, the company consisting of people who actually created Fallout.

Definitely doesn't look great. Now let's hope Bethesda has actually something new in the game and that it's not just Fallout 3 with better graphics, because the only thing Bethesda excels at is getting the exploration feeling right with their huge worlds. Other than that, the games aren't that great (and I'm not saying they're bad, just saying they could be improved a lot).

I dont understand the complaints about graphics though.... those dont look like last gen consoles fallouts.

Yeah, they look a lot like other 7th gen games. Depending on the screenshot, it's even early 7th gen games.

Actually after seeing Halo 5, this graphic isn't that bad, Halo 5 manage to have 60 FPS due to small open area, while this games have a longer distant view and almost unlimited open area and 30FPS is pretty understandable. Both seem using old gen shader type. And what i love with Fallout is there artistic retro future fiction, the same like bioshock games.

Good sly jab friend. However, shooters with story oriented themes and not exploration, should not be open world. I mean every knowledgeable gamer knows that.

And then you gonna see or have seen games with smaller hubs than Halo 5, that sacrifice the frame rate and gameplay progression for shiny and mostly insignificant graphics.

slightly disappointed but w/e game is still gonna be goat.

Wish someone would leak the perks so i can start planning my character already.

Uhhhh...

Mind you, tried to find the most "open-wordly". Games that could rank up more than 50 hours of gameplay.

The game looks fine, but good God people...

I hate seeing people bitch about people bitch about graphics. If someone doesn't like the way a game looks, then they just don't like it. They aren't spoiled, or whining, or bitching, they just don't like it. Get over it.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Considering that you can go anywhere, whenever you want, and the developer has promised over 400 hours of gameplay...

...it looks fucking awesome. I don't know why you people are complaining.

You can go anywhere you want in MGS5 and play it for 400 hours, yet you didnt like it

Sorry if i ofended your most wanted games, but did i complain on Halo 5 graphic, nope. Want i am trying to say both equally the same with simplistic graphic. The difference is Halo optimizing on 60 FPS and small area, while the reason Fallout 4 having 30 FPS due the the masive open world content they have. Is like comparing Forza 5 with Forza Horizon 2, one is 60 FPS and the other is 30FPS.

Game looks good

Uhhhh...

I have two things to say here:

a) I did like the game; in fact, liked it so much I platinumed it.

b) I'm talking about the graphics here. The fact that the game achieves such graphical fidelity being open-world, being able to go and do almost anything you want and with Bethesda's promise of over 400 hours of gameplay.
