They are both really good games. But pvz rules imo. I find myself playing a lot of splatoon and then i switch to pvz back and forth. I feel better with pvz tho

Both are fun and both have depth. People have already sang the praises of Splatoon so I'll just name some features of PvZ (on XB1)
-24 player battles
-split screen
-unique take on horde mode
-upgradeable skills
-voice chat
-$6.50 asking price
I already got my money's worth. Splatoon is faster and more chaotic. PvZ is funnier and deeper. Both are great. Flip a coin and have a blast.

That's a fair approach. That is jow i think of it to. I play both games. Pvz is the winner tho imo

Maybe Mario Kart 8 is better game but I find Splatoon is more addictive and fun than Mario Kart 8, and that's reason I played more Splatoon.
Disagree, if you thinkig about Splatoon and say there are tons of tps, then easily I can say for Mario Kart that there are tons of racing games, it's basically same comparison. Splatoon is for TPS games what Mario Kart is for racing games, or Smash Bros. for fighting games. Next gen Splatoon will be bigger than this gen, I think it will be bigger IP than Smash Bros. is currently.
Splatoon is far more unique than Mario Kart 8, every Mario Kart is similar with updated graphics, mechanics, weapons, maps, characters...but Splatoon is totally new and fresh (and great) experience, there was nothing similar like Splatoon before , and thats why Splatoon is so popular even if it is totally new IP.

They are both good games and that counts right? At the end of days its a matter of taste. Many times when i play splatoon and how the levels are i think of tony hawks skateboarding levels such as thps2 venic beach. U could easily make a splatoon level out of that

Exactly this. Splatoon is simply getting more praise because it is exclusive but the reality is that they both provide similar fun factor and you can't go wrong with any of them. The only thing that makes splatoon have the edge is because it has a singleplayer mode.
Did you pay 6.50 for the game? too bad that you miss when EA were giving it for free on ps4.

Then why aren't Mario Party 10, Codename Steam or soon Mario Tennis and Star Fox: Zero getting any praise? The reality is that they're both pretty different and that Splatoon is more unique and innovative. EA must be kicking themselves in the head, they should have signed an exclusive contract with Nintendo for this game! /s

I had it free on Xbox, too. I deleted (without ever playing) it because of storage space when I had EA Access. I didn't want the service so I just got the game by itself. So, yeah. $6.50.
On a side note, EA Access is pretty sweet.... if it actually had games I wanted to play.
