There's only one relevant month in the year left. They need to announce them NOW.

TP HD confirmed for holiday season! :)

Better get a wiggle on now then Nintendo! Just don't really expect anything overly exciting. Down that route leads ruin, sadness and disaster.

I'm still waiting for that 8/10 hype level direct that was supposed to happen yesterday.

If they do, it isn't going to be anything major.

Lets face it, they won't be great games like we want.

Twilight Princess HD baby!

I don't see it happening until 2017..

More games is always good (unless we're talking eShop titles, of course) but it's unlikely to be something big considering how close we are to the end of the year.

I can't help but notice something about that image.

Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Yoshi, Mario, and Kirby have all had recent Wii U titles, or are about to get Wii U titles, with the characters shown being major parts of those games (special note: Donkey Kong is in Mario Tennis). Star Fox got delayed, but is nearing completion. Zelda U is well-known and rumours put TP HD as upcoming. And Pikmin 4 is known to be "very close to completion", too.

Which character in that image haven't I discussed? Hint: she's about to get splatted, and the only game in her franchise known to be coming is supposed to not focus on her at all, and that game is for 3DS.

It makes me wonder if Nintendo have another trick up their sleeves.

Also, the overall situation, considering the absence of Miis, Pokemon (especially Pikachu), Captain Falcon, Wario, and Pit makes me think that there's real meaning to this particular choice of characters. If they were after franchises that did incredibly well, Pikachu and the Miis would be there. If they were after characters that Nintendo could leverage well for future purposes (animation, etc), then Falcon, Wario, and Pit would be obvious inclusions over the Animal Crossing group. Which leads me to think that it's a representation of upcoming and recently released games.

So I'm calling it - Nintendo has a Metroid game to reveal within the next few months. Also, Pikmin 4 will be revealed very soon. I'm tempted to say that both Pikmin 4 and Twilight Princess HD will be released by the end of the year, as the unannounced titles for Wii U (or perhaps Pikmin 4 is for 3DS?).

I'm also going to make an even more bold prediction: Metroid U and Metroid Prime: Federation Force, both released in March 2016 alongside Nintendo Account.

I could be way off base. But where's the fun in always taking the safe guesses? Sometimes you just have to let your imagination run wild on a tenuous link.
