Forums - Nintendo - Zelda WiiU: Aonuma hopes to provide a "kind of twist" to open world games with new Zelda

Just give me my large dungeons, give me Ganondorf or whoever doing something bad to good people, have me collect new equipment that allows me to explore and collect stuff, I'll be happy.

Good to know they're listening to feedback.

One thing I'd like to see is your outer appearance changing according to the items you have equipped. For example, having the bow equipped would display bow and quiver on your person.

Would be a great touch.

I'm probably wrong but his way of talking and wording, i get the feeling this game just got downgraded from its original ambitious size they wanted

I didn't hear anything that indicated that. You're reading the lines in between the lines in between the lines!

"You see, this time you don't just cut grass. You cut the state of the art grass. High Resolution grass, cut at 60 frames per second... Wait, what's that? Cut all the grass again? Well guess what?! There's an infinite amount of grass! Cut grass on the fields! Cut grass in the ocean! Hell, cut grass while you're fighting the boss!"

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

I hope its a good twist and not in the league of...

This is said to be one of the largest team ever to work on a single game on the Wii U, so I can trust Aonuma to deliver his core fanbase.

I don't know why I get this feeling but the only way I can think of putting a "twist on an open world" and to work with the hardware limitations of the Wii U.

I see it being something like Sword Art Online. Multi Floor Worlds lol. Each floor will be as big as they can handle the Wii U to load without having transitions black screens.

Each floor with ll have a dungeon obviously.

You mean, he read a link between the lines ?

*badum tchss*

Maybe this is what made the game suffer a delay.
That and the fact it will be ported to NX! :P

Really curious to see what he's taking about.
