Forums - Nintendo - Zelda WiiU: Aonuma hopes to provide a "kind of twist" to open world games with new Zelda

I have a feeling the structure of the world in this game will be closest to the NES original since, well, the NES original. They didn't make that screenshot with Link on top of some cliff looking towards mountains exactly like the artwork of the NES game for no reason.

Well they did said when they first time announced Zelda U that they are returning to roots of Zelda and to original Zelda.

Prediction: people will complain about it.

9for soem reasons I cannot quote)

This was the exact feeling I had and again same when reading this post.

First Zelda is as Open world as it could have be at the time and it will be the 30th Anniversary next year!

Switch!!!

I would hope so. Considering how long its been in development, you'd think they would try a few new things.

Finally something about Zelda U! :)

I would love ALTTP twist in true open and big Zelda world, we have normal world like they showed us in December, but also dark version of that world, all again some time traveling mechanics that would make that same world completely changed, similar to OOT.

I'd love it if they didn't recycle the two worlds gimmick for literally the sixth time.

I had a theory of a cool game mechanic that the Villain of this game hire some sort of bounty hunter or so that hunts Link down, and you can actually encounter him at anytime during your playthrough. Its an increidbly smart AI that just doesnt appear in story events but is a part of the game itself. and that mercenary is always hunting you by tracing and stuff. Would be really cool to be suprised attacked

God! I want this now! It could be incredible, although this is like Ghirahim but with more advanced AI. I believe Ghirahim battles were fun and the best boss battle since Majora's Mask bosses.

Edit: dat IGN comments

Telekill 4 mins

It's not coming to Wii-U. Surprise!

BTW, I hope his "twist" is more than ALTTP Link merges in a wall Edition.
