Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Does the removal of lingerie outfits from Fatal Frame in the West annoy you at all?

Not at all! I wish it weren't in the game industry the first place and prefer the new outfits Nintendo added.

What pisses me off is the bullshit digital-only release. So I'm not buying it.

To the folks saying its ok it got removed cause it doesn't fit the narrative of the game: CMON PEOPLE its a optional outfit you get after you beat the game. There is no reason what so ever this should have been removed.

Why do you think I got all of those emblems in Resident Evil 5? For the sense of accomplishment? I wanted to play as almost nude Sheva.

You had ONE job, Fatal Frame. You didn't even have to be good. You ruined it, Nintendo!

I'm not interested in Fatal Frame V and I'd argue that they don't fit the tone of the game.

BUT, games are a transformative medium and people can play them however they want. Playing an altered game or one that has removed content, for whatever reason, is frustrating so it may negatively impact the player's experience and

their perceived value of a game they just bought for the same price as those who got everything.

The game actually had a higher MSRP in Japan of 6,600 yen which would translate to a price of $59.99 US using the conversion structure Nintendo employs.

Fatal Frame has MSRP of $49.99 in the US.

For reference Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze has a MSRP of 5,700 yen in Japan and is $49.99 US.

wtf man? the game is already 18?

Oh....

I still stand by my point though. Purchasing a product that has altered or censored content for an unjustifiable reason when others can still have them (whether it's for the same price or not) can be frustrating.

Heard they are censoring some outfits from xenoblade as well. Don't care that much about fatal frame as I wasn't going to get the game anyway plus I have the internet and can download porn at any time.

What?! Oh please don't let this be true. If XCX is censored too then I'll be really disappointed in Nintendo.

It makes sense to do that in the west. You wouldn't want to anger the SJWs/modern feminists.
