Is it confirmed that the European version won't have censorship?

The fact that the European version is also edited may indicate that it came from the top, but I'm pretty sure the NoA and NoE versions have the same (American) voices, meaning the Treehouse handled the localization for both versions, right? I mean, it's still stupid either way. But if Treehouse is meddling with the actual content of games they're localizing just because they disagree with something in them, that's worrying to me. What kind of Fire Emblem: Fates are we going to get? What if face touching and skimpy costumes in those make Treehouse members uncomfortable? Cut a bunch of content from the game, replace all of the outfits with Nintendo-themed costumes, drastically change dialogue etc? Why don't you just release the goddamn game the developers made and let the players decide which parts of it they do or don't like? |
this is basically why i think Nintendo fans should raise their voices about this before NoA/Treehouse does something really stupid like what you mentioned before its to late and we ended getting a gimped strip down version of Fire Emblem Fates.
I am surprised and sad to see the responses in this thread. I didn't think people would be this upset and deny buying the game due to questionable content being cut from the game. I understand if people are upset about it, buying it for that reason, but to deny an entire game just because that is cut out? Makes me sad.

If I were to buy this game at some point, it would never be due to the existence of these costumes. Being someone that prefers the male anatomy probably makes me biased however :P
But yeah, I can understand the complaint that Nintendo is removing this content despite there being a rating system specifically to warn people that content like this is there, but I wouldn't ever refuse to buy a game over it.

I'm almost 100% sure it's the Treehouse. Pretty sure they handle all localization, not just script and VA.
I'm not taking some artistic high road. I want to see some boobies and some ass. I never played a Fatal Frame game and I've lived a full life. The outfits are what caught my eye. I would tolerate a mediocre game for some t&a. That's why I was going to buy this game. Now, I just have more time to spend on some other game. No big deal. It was going to be a day one purchase, though.
Heard they are censoring some outfits from xenoblade as well. Don't care that much about fatal frame as I wasn't going to get the game anyway plus I have the internet and can download porn at any time.
Can you change this to NA please I also live in the 'west' but you know about 2000 miles from NA in Europe where we haven't lost the costumes
Meh, those were some ugly lingerie anyway. The ass crack is easily the worst part of the butt and that's all you're going to see while wearing that costume. Getting the Zelda and Samus costumes instead is a win-win situation for me so I'm not gonna complain.
I wouldn't buy the game anyways, but this certainly lowers my opinion of the game.
