Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Does the removal of lingerie outfits from Fatal Frame in the West annoy you at all?

Do some of you guys not know what Google is?

If animated Asians in lingerie is that big of a deal to you, Google can help.

i don't like having content removed or changed from a localized outside of changing the language to english though.

If they were censoring the game to get to a T rating to try and sell more copies? Ok then.

But doing it and keeping all the content to give it that M rating just doesnt make sense.

Not a big fan of any type of censorship. Sometimes definitely do go to far, but this is sure as hell not one of them.

YES

Although i dont have a Wii U, this is completely ridiculous and i feel sorry for Wii U owners. The costumes are optional, game is still rated M and you need to complete the game to unlock them. YES this annoys me.

Some of you act like the game was a bonus and you were intending on buying it just to see an animated lingerie model.

Still buying the game because, you know, the game is still there.

while this doesn't turn me entirely from getting the game its gonna become an annoying trend that will eventually be taken to far by removing gameplay mechanics (like the face touching in Fire Emblem) or removing story elements cause they aint "polically correct" or some stupid crap like that.

i say we should complain to NoA social media accounts, get a hashtag start, start peitions to make the bikings free DLC.

i want this crap to stop before NoA takes to far and we end up getting worse games cause of it.

Um this is the exception not the rule from NOA last few years. The Last Story has raging boner and virgin gags. Feeling up tits gag. Topless fairy in Zelda TP. Super skimpy outfits in Xenoblade on Wii. Naked Bayonetta in 2 and skimpy outfits Nintendo told PG to have her wear less. Boobs popping out of clothing in PXZ on 3DS. They published Ninja Gaiden 3 and in Hyrules Warriors skimpy outfits abound. So whatever NOA reasoning was this is not typical of them.

that was NoE for the last story that localized that game not NoA and i don't think NoA published PxZ pretty sure that was Bandai BNamco. On the other hand with Bravely Default NoA has some of the outfits redesign and changed the characters age to 18 (though i can see and even kinda agree with that change) and with Bayonetta i believe that just NoJ that told him to have Bayonetta wear less and i think Platinum does the localization for all of their games even the one's published by a major publisher.

NOE did FF as well. NOA still allowed all that to be left in. So again it's the exception.

but NoE probably just copy and pasted NoA's work on to the european copies the game just like what NoA did with Xenoblade just took NoE's work and released in North America and how many more "exceptions" does this have to happen for a blacklash to happen whatever they removed story elements and gameplay mechanics from Fire Emblem Fates like the option to marry the step siblings or the face touching mini game or removing reilgion references in games once again cause i am afraid they will do that to Xenoblade X.

Now you are speculating and making stuff up and besides this whole angry thing is over underwear? ROFL. There is porn sites and deviant art if you need that sort of thing. It's really no big deal.

have you been reading what i am saying? i just want the same game with all content unchanged and still there that Japan has got i would still be having this issue if it was god damn winter clothing that was removed to me change a games content for a another region is just as anti-consumer as on disc DLC is

hell i am not making stuff up Xenoblade X already had changes from changing the mechs name from Doll to Skells. the games director has said the term doll has a relevant meaning to the games story. so now will say this change is now NoA being a dick to Monolithsoft and their vision of the game.

Nitpicking now. Skell Doll who cares. Not like they removed them for being too violent or something. Elza became Zael in TLS. Stuff like that is common in any English translation Nintendo and others not Nintento. Sony censors things to. Can't have a game called Bombing Bastards. It's still not that big a deal.

You have to admit, the game is fairly trashy with that outfit. It cheapens the experience for people who are actually interested in a serious and mature game. Games aimed at 13 year old jack offs are not mature.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

i wouldn't be surpised if some of the developers at monolith are bothered and annoyed by the change

hell i prefer Nintendo over Sony and i think its just as when Sony censors stuff is just as stupid as when anyone else in the industry.
