I've been informed it's not possible from a technological point of view.

No, but at the same time, what is more important. Split screen that only 10 people at max will use or 60fps throughout the game to make the game smoothe for everyone. The choice isn't hard, but go ahead and take your time. No rush.

10 people. Lol. If you're going to make up numbers, try a little harder than that. And I've already expressed my opinion in other threads. Everyone that wants splitscreen would gladly take a performance hit when splitscreen is in use if that's what it takes to play splitscreen. Did I rush? Because that's my decision.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Are you kidding me? I'm a huge fan of the older halos. Some of my all time favorite gaming experiences were with my friends and brothers in the living room.

And when the network or internet connection is on the fritz, split screen was always there in the past.
It just sucks they took such a huge part out.

Halo was fun to split screen and system link with friends when I was young. 15 years later I am an adult and have no intentions on going to someone's place to split screen Halo. Very few still do when you have internet infrastructure that makes it possible from your home to play with friends.

The people bitching are in the minority and acting like a typical gamer who always complains.

This is a copy and paste type of question

I would prefer it for sure. Not too fussed that it isn't there though. Almost always take my console with me when I game at a friends house. Have since h1 lans.

Of course not. If they truly were Halo fans they would pay attention to how the classic campaign concept lies in ruin in favor of bland, fast-paced multiplayer action mechanics and gameplay. The lack of split-screen features is completely irrelevant in comparison.

What? If there is one thing, it's that 343i has grown the gameplay while still retaining the Halo feel. They also understand and respect the Halo story and universe in a way Bungie never did. Bungie created it and made a fantastic job but they never could keep up with how the lore grew and use it properly in the games.

OPs thread kinda backfired it seems.

Op: i get it, its easier to shrug it off as haters pretending to be fans of halo and finding issue with it, then accept that its a feature a lot of fans are genuinely disappointed to see it gone.

Problem is, a lot of fans are genuinely disappointed to see it gone.

Even though I haven't played splitscreen since Reach I will miss the option to do so.

I am surprised by the response of the thread. It is good to see Xbox Fans admitting fault to their biggest exclusive and not being blind accepting everything.
Co-op is very important for me and my friends. At college we will put money together to buy games.
Now that we are working in different state, we wait for deals and sale to buy cop op games. We just purchased Sniper Elite 3 Complete Edition for $16 in the current flash sale happening this week on PSN. With split screen not availabe for me anymore, I am on the look out for deals now.
