I mean, ps4 just got dropped to $350, I don't see it happening.

X1 wins software
PS4 wins hardware
I think it can't be understated that the core Halo fanbase most likely already bought X1s en masse due to the MCC hype. Will Halo 5 sell additional X1s? Yes, and depending on reviews/reception it could boost the holidays considerably for the X1. Just not to the degree that some would expect. The hype and media engines seem tiny compared to previous entries, and even Titanfall.
Remember that Halo 4's initial sales were pretty close to Halo 3's, despite a MASSIVE increase in install base. Some of this was due to COD taking the FPS throne away, and some of this is due to the core Halo fanbase not really growing during that time.
This year we have COD, Fallout 4, Star Wars, first PS4 price cuts all coming in the same timeframe, along with a bundle that seems expensive for what you get.
A $349 Halo 5 X1 bundle would have probably made a big impact.
Now all of this could change a bit if Microsoft pulls some surprises before the end of the month instead of waiting for BF. A 'Any 1 Game Free with the X1' promotion for the last week or two of October could be big.
The month is half over. It would take a really strong finish for Microsoft to take October. I keep saying this but the Xbox One's second place finish has nothing to do with the Xbox One doing poorly because its not. It has everything to do with Sony's almost unstoppable momentum, compounded by the price drop.

There is no Madden in TOP100.
Only Halo LE Bundle is in the TOP100.

MS has done deals before that people that follow Amazon charts have not been able to see, but Amazon has still been correct. That said, the months still isn't halfway through yet, so the picture on Amazon could still change a lot. |
MS has done deals before, but the first Halo of the gen is launching which tends to sell consoles. Add that and there will be a spike in sales. Once Halo drops thhe word of mouth will continue to spread throughout the holidays.

1 day lateron:
21 - PlayStation 4 500GB Console - Destiny: The Taken King Limited Edition Bundle (#18 -> 21)
27 - PlayStation 4 500GB Console - The Last of Us Remastered Bundle (#26 -> 27)
28 - PlayStation 4 500GB Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront Console (#27 -> 28)
40 - Xbox One 1TB Console - Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition Bundle (#41 -> 40)
57 - PlayStation 4 500GB Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Bundle (#64 -> 57)
65 - PlayStation 4 1TB Console - Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Limited Edition Bundle (#63 -> 65)
Was a good day for Nathan Drake Collection bundle, and for Halo 5: guardians limited edition bundle.
But its still just 1 xbox console bundle in the top100 vs 5 playstation ones, where 3 of the playstation bundles rank higher than the xbox one.
Right now it still looks like a win for the playstation 4 this month.
The only prediction that I can make with certainty is that the PS4 will retain its lead in the US.
My question is why the hell would you buy an xbox one off amazon.com in the us when you can get better deals on amazon.ca and also some retailers have some special. I think it's time to realize that not everyone buys xbones on amazon...
