The 3DS is set to have a very nice 2016, especially in Japan. Between SMTIVF, Yokai Watch 3, Monster Hunter Stories, Pokemon Z and Dragon Quest XI, there's something for every JRPG lover.

It's a new game? Then why does it have the 4 attached to it? If it is a completely new game, I'll take it. I loved the SMT games I played.

If you like JRPG's, YES. The story is fantastic as well as the battle system (even though some people dislike it)

If you like traditional Final Fantasy and Bravely Default type battle systems, then definitely get it. 

 

You must know though that it takes awhile to get used to at first and can be difficult if you have never played a SMT game before. That being said, it was my first SMT game and after I understood the battle system, I enjoyed every other minute of the game. :D

That said, I'm now more hopeful about this new game being better than the previous one.


I mean, you know how critical I am of that game, but even I would recommend it without question. It's frustrating how it falls apart in many reguards, but a the very least, its compelling from start to finish (unless you lock into the N-route for a bit) and the moment to moment gameplay is super fun.

I'm more hopeful of Final too, but I think IV is one of those games that you can't help but love, in spite of it's flaws. I think the game is like a C+, but I still absolutely adore it, if only because of how close it was to being an A+ game.
