At least they know what they need to work on, But this is just PR i need to see what comes of this.

Exactly. You should read what you just quoted. Nowhere there does it say that exclusives aren't as important. He's saying that when there's more competing software on their platform, their own software doesn't do as well on the system in terms of software market share. |
Prominent=Important.
He does say that their own software doesn't sell as well when there's alot of competing software. Which pretty much means that third party exclusive games aren't as important as they would be if their console was struggling.

At least everybody want The Legend of Dragoon sequel/prequel or remake.
They're still waiting for this franchise.
Well, they've not been working on Vita since 2013, nor PS3 since 2013 either. I do feel it's been a pretty poor showing from their PS4 output so far and I do pretty much put that down to Shu. While I think he's a nice guy, I don't think he's especially good at his job.
It's only in the past few years I've noticed it too. Stuff like putting all those games out on PS3 in 2013 and now the somewhat lack of AAA first-party stuff on PS4. Funneling money into The Last Guardian yet cancelling stuff like Eight Days to have London Studio work on whatever flavor-of-the-month peripheral is out, despite the fact that they'd shown themselves perfectly capable of making non-gimmick stuff. Inability to devote a single studio to Vita development.
He doesn't strike me as being great at managing teams and I feel like a lot of the successes from SCE have come from outside his input.
Hm, I rather see them not spending a lot of money on many new AAA games (considering that 3rd parties do it better than any platform holder), but on more AA games instead - though, tbh, these new triple-indie games (as some like to call them) are pretty much equivalent of AA game, so it's not like PS4 is missing them either.
Anyway, nice of them to realize there is some sort of problem, whether they choose to make few AAA or crapload of AA games.
They've been non-stop announcing since EGX 2014, there were like 10 news games there, and much more at E3, and TGS, and we still got 2 more conferences this year, im not worried

PS VR is a waste of resources, how anyone could not see how it will obviously have vita level game support is beyond me, carry on.

Ok. But so far it looks pretty decent.
Uncharted 4
Gravity Rush 2
The Last Guardian
Gran Turismo 7
Horizon Zero Dawn
Ratchet&Clank
Rigs
Unannounced:
Bends Horror Game
The Last of Us 2
MS would have to ramp it up 1000% to outpace this in quantity and variety.

Good one.
You know, 3rd party games can be exclusives too.
Like Nioh, Nier, Wild and a "few" more.
