Exactly. You should read what you just quoted. Nowhere there does it say that exclusives aren't as important. He's saying that when there's more competing software on their platform, their own software doesn't do as well on the system in terms of software market share.

Prominent=Important.

 

He does say that their own software doesn't sell as well when there's alot of competing software. Which pretty much means that third party exclusive games aren't as important as they would be if their console was struggling.
