Forums - Gaming - MGSV is one of the best games I've ever played.

The gameplay is fantastic, yes, but I don't see how you can possibly think the story is as good as the other games. Besides the fact that the story is pushed to the side for a lot of the game, it's just not that interesting. The twist was indeed cool, but the rest? Meh. It also feels very unfinished, like there was a lot more to tell (which we all know is true).

its one of the worst in the series to me

Phew! I'm so glad you loved this game.

About the unfinished story, yeah, the game is clearly missing an important part, the famous mission 51, but...I don't know. I don't feel like I'm missing something. When I've cleared the last mission and seen the last cutscene, all I could do was put down my pad and simply say "Well, It's done. That was amazing".

Really, I understand every critics against the game and a lot of them are totally right, but I haven't been bothered by any of them. Dunno why, the game caught me since the start and still has me in its hand.

And I'm the same guy who couldn't finish The Witcher 3 'cause it was too boring.

I enjoyed the gameplay a lot, but being a fanboy of something can perhaps make you enjoy something a little less especially in this case when it's as poorly paced and written as MGS5 compared to the previous titles.

You know, I can understand you to some extent. Even if I went with extremely high expectations towards the game, ending up disappointed on the story, I still love the gameplay.

I personally love MGSV.

Glad you enjoy it.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I have more of a problem with the absolute ass kissing the game received critically more than I do with the game.

I actually wrote a review for it here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps4/718564-metal-gear-solid-v-the-phantom-pain/reviews/161243

Be just hit the 20% mark. I can officially confirm I've grown bored with it, I can no longer string 10 minutes together on it without switching it off due to Boredom. I think it's the lack of story, I'm used to RPGs with deep stories that keep you interested, the sneaking around has hit its toll and I'm bored. I'm thinking of trading it in for bloodborne being as I'm a massive fan of demon souls and dark souls.
I'm really disappointed it's ended like this as I really enjoyed it at the start, I genuinely thought I'd of played this through to the end.

I think The Phantom Pain lacks important things like a good open world, an ok story and good missions. While the gameplay is a clear evolution from Far Cry 4, I think Far Cry 3 is a better game overall. Where are the civilians? Why every place looks like the same? Why is the fauna so boring? Plus, the missions (especially the side ops) are way too repetitive, even though you're able to do them any way you want. If they could implement the improvements made in TPP into the next Far Cry, maybe we can have a very good game.
