I think The Phantom Pain lacks important things like a good open world, an ok story and good missions. While the gameplay is a clear evolution from Far Cry 4, I think Far Cry 3 is a better game overall. Where are the civilians? Why every place looks like the same? Why is the fauna so boring? Plus, the missions (especially the side ops) are way too repetitive, even though you're able to do them any way you want. If they could implement the improvements made in TPP into the next Far Cry, maybe we can have a very good game.
