Wow ps4 is not selling that great right now on the hourly chart for October ps4 bundles (i.e. not the Star Wars and cod bundles). This is esp surprising considerin the price cut. This is what I was worried about with Sony dropping the price so long before halos release. I thought it would've been way better to do it 1-2wks before halo 5. Now the price drop effect is waning.

Btw, has Sony advertised the price drop at all?? I don't have cable, but I spend a lot of time on the internet and have seen not a single add talking about the price drop. Anybody in the US have any insight on whether tv commercials have been playing?

I think Sony is focussing on November, for sure the CoD and SW bundles are shifting sales that might have happened in Oct with the price cut into November. Sony's main problem is their 2 core bundles right now are both last gen remasters. For PS3 owners that is a poor incentive, so most of these people who intend to buy PS4 this holiday will be aiming for a bundle that has a proper new game attached, like star wars or CoD, which means waiting for November or December to buy.

Nov and Dec will be huge, but Sony still has this month according to Amazon and from what I seen in stores.TLoU bundle is ahead of the Halo 5 bundle for the month and that is the only Xbox bundle up there monthly so the price cut is doing its job by raising the last gen bundles.

Could someone keep up with the hourlies for me, please, my mouse has broken and I HATE using this God Damn pad on my laptop. It takes me much longer to do the simplest things. If you could keep the same format that would be great too, and then when I get a new mouse tomorrow (hopefully) I can carry on just cutting and pasting as I have been doing. Thanks in advance.

I'll do an update now before bed.

2 hours since last update:

#14 XB1 Halo Bundle (down 2)*
#15 PS4 Nathan Drake Bundle (up 1)*
#25 PS4 Star Wars Bundle (up 2)
#52 PS4 Black Ops Bundle (down 4)
#66 PS4 TLOUR Bundle (up 3)*
#70 PS4 Star Wars Standard Bundle (up 5)
#86 XB1 Forza Bundle (up 6)*
#90 XB1 GeOW Bundle (Re-entry)*
#99 PS4 Destiny Bundle (down 9)*

*Affects this month

PS4 - 6 bundles, 6 in the top 100
XB1 - 9 bundles, 3 in the top 100

Sony could do with the TLOUR Bundle back in stock just to cement a possible win this month. I still think it's going to be close though.

Well it did just launch yesterday so it's not unexpected.

Jeez, Amazon is really making it hard to continue to predict Xb one winning October. It still seems unthinkable that Xb one wouldn't win the month where Halo 5 launches, so I think it will happen, but damn, I was sure Halo 5 would remain in the top 10 at least up to the 25th/26th. After that the rate of sales should drop as guaranteed delivery would slip into the 28th and after. Perhaps the bundle will surge up again in a day or so.

It has still been the number 1 bundle by a decent margin for a number of days and that is absolutely going to narrow the gap in the monthly charts when these days get factored in. NDC still hasn't found itself ahead of H5, which means while both bundles will jump up the charts the gap between them should still be reasonably significant. H5 is still looking likely to end the month in the top position for consoles IMO, but perhaps not as high and not with as big a gap as I thought based on my assumption of H5 staying in the top 10 between 20 and 26 Oct.
