Too many assholes to respond to at once, this is why I hate Politics Discussion. The ignorance is astounding. The Level of which it is touted and defended like a dung beetle taking pride his pile of crap (no offense to the dung beetles. at least they are tolerable).

Its insane, how people say oh religious people are intolerant, or they are whats wrong with the world, some of whom are the very people saying these racist things as though its common. At least internet trolls, have the decency to remain anonymous, have you no shame?

And here I am, a gun toting Texan christian , sitting here reading this garbage, and I'm just like wow, wow wow wow.

I can barely comprehend the sheer magnitude of the idiocy and insanity... Children shouldn't be allowed in this Subforum.

Never miss an opportunity to play that christian persecution card...

I feel like we'd probably agree on this issue, but I have no idea what "people say oh religious people are intolerant" has anything to do with it.

For all of Trump's grandstanding and hyperbole, he's not that far off with some of his comments.  A good chunk of the "refugees" currently flooding into Europe from northern Africa and the ME are no more political / war refugees than they are economic migrants, not unlike the hundreds of thousands that pour into the US via the southern border every year, that are simply looking to take advantage of the generous benefits certain countries are willing to hand out to them.

This meme explains the whole Syrian "refugee crisis" in a nutshell...

Does this meme take in account the fact more than 90% of the syrian go to the countries next to syria and not the rest of the world ?

Those are the "real" refugees. I'm fully behind the UK approach of taking our refugees from refugee camps in those countries.

I'm commenting on how generalizations, like power levels, are bullshit.

Intolerance, racism, xenophobia, and all those other shitty aspects of human nature, the ones keeping us from progressing further, can't be generalized to a culture/religion/ethnic group. It's simply fairly distributed among the planet.

I also say I'm Christian not to use the victim(persecution) card, I'm black so that one is far more effective, its rather a direct response to some of the claims in this thread that the religious and specifically the muslims can't live in a democratic society. My Grandmother and basically half of the Nigerian Community I know in Houston is Muslims and the other half is Christian. So its pretty insulting to me. God forbid this forum have some diversity

There is precisely one person in this thread who said religious people in general can't live in a democratic society.  As for the people who are saying that muslims cannot integrate into society, what is their religious background?  I'm usually involved in the threads that are against religion, and I haven't seen them posting there.  Can you back up the claim that the people saying Muslims can't integrate into society are the same ones saying that religious people are what's wrong with the world?  Because, if you cannot, then you are making a generalization about atheists and secularists that I resent.

so the saudi arabic muslimic culture is on the same level than hm lets say the swiss culture?

so the islamic constitution from iran is on the same level than the humanistic constitution of the us?

culture and religion arent the same as race, you choose your culture and religion, but not the colour of your skin.

No, they won't.

He's right on this matter. Muslims cannot integrate in a democratic, secular country. The majority of them think that Sharia law is above the constitution.

Comments like this are exactly why I don't go into political discussion threads on this site, after reading shit like it's mpossible for me to judge a person on an objective level, no matter what the topic is. This comment could easily be prefaced by the infamous "I'm no racist but..."

Appalling.

Uh, you do realize he is stating a fact, right?  Even here in American a slim majority (51%) say they would support the overthrow of the Constitution to put into place Sharia law.  While I don't agree that NO Muslim can be integrated, it is a fact that there aren't as many reformist Muslims as people want to believe there are.  And if you want to see something that is actually racist, homophobic, and sexist, look no further than Sharia law.  Also, 1/4 of them believe that violence against "infidels" is acceptable.

Karma is bitch some time mmmm good luck fighting Isis

I could say that Donald Trump may be Donald Duck in disquise and he should be forced out of US and that would be communicating in the same level as he does...

Many posts here show the writers true colors and no I am not talking literally. The level of ignorance and plain stupidity has gone through the roof and it is not even funny.

The biggest problem that the refugees have "caused" in my country is the scary and sometimes even violent outlash of a small minority (racists). They (racists) have caused problems in my country and they are the ones that I fear, not the refugees.

Also some of you may not know but races doesn´t exist in homo sapiens. There are differences among human populations, but they are not big enough to have races. Dogs etc. do have them and humans could have, but don´t.

For the record, those who genuinely want to have a better life should be allowed to immigrate to western Europe. However, you can't just assume that all migrants = Syrian refugees or immigrants aspiring for better lives. When you indiscrimminately trust everyone, well... the results aren't pretty at all...

Don't get me wrong, I really want everyone to live peacefully together regardless of their religious background, but I cannot condone the behavior that is shown in these videos.

You say that, but the syrian refugee i know is an educated person with a university degree working hard to learn the local language and get work. I also never saw or heard any religious talk from him or his daughter. Daughter actually might have not been using burka either.

I also know an afghani wich is the same.

It's just like with every people. Theres good hard working people willing to adapt to the country of origin and those that resist a bit more. I would worry more about the resistants. Those are the ones that should be deported, but those that do adapt i don't see a problem with.
