I actually searched for a cheap used PC (yes, cheaper than $100) but nobody was open yesterday.  Guess it's better than nothing.  I'm still excited.

I hate to be this guy but even for $100 this thing is garbage.  You can get an $80 windows tablet right now with better specs that can do SO MUCH more than this.

I already have a pretty great tablet and phone.  I just wanted to be a part of the pc master race.  I feel so dirty right now.  :(

With this thing I kinda doubt you will even be able to watch HD porn without stuttering.
Just don't believe that you will be able to play any 3d games on it.

Get a low end GPU and 2 more GB of RAM and you can start playing.

Without an additional graphic card it probably won't even start Crysis. ;)

My 2006 PC also had a Core2Duo around 3 GHz (2.4 overclocked to 2.9 GHz) + 2 GB RAM + a GeForce 8800 GTX.

  • Crysis 1 in 1920x1200 in medium quality: 30 - 40 fps
  • Crysis 1 in 1920x1200 in high quality: 20 fps
  • Crysis 1 in 1920x1200 in very high quality: 10 fps

Well does it have a PCIE slot?  Errrr nvm.  The RAM is your real problem since DDR2 is too old to really be upgraded.  Hey look if you ever want advice on a nice cheap build I will always be willing to help :)

for fun sake I tried to see what 100$ could get you:

Best I could come up with:

CPU: AMD Athlon 5150 Kabini Quad-Core 1.6 GHz ~40$ (comes with cooler)
MB: ASRock AM1B-M ~26$
Ram: Team Elite 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 (1600) ~16$
case+psu: APEX TM-302-3 Black /w 300w PSU ~39$
HDD: Western Digital Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0 ~44$

=

Total of 165$

But with a rig like this, he could atleast play Minecraft and even stuff like Skyrim @low res/setting.
He would have 500gb of storage, use less power ($ saved), have USB3.

 

a Kabini 5150 @stock values with DDR3 1600, can run League of Legends at 1280x720 and get 35+ fps.

Meaning you could do some light weight gameing on this thing. Which I doubt the PC you bought can.

I'm pretty sure even internet browsing is gonna be slightly sluggish with that computer these days. It'll be OK for that but definitely not great. And I don't know about the general price level around there, but that sounds a lot for such a weak computer. But maybe the price level where you live is different than what it's here...

I make a lot of money. I was just never interested in a PC. I guess I just moved to quickly. I can still cancel it but I won't. I'll take my punishment like a man. I'll probably upgrade to a real rig later on, depending on if I get "the itch".

Basically, I typed "PC" in the search engine on amazon.com. that was the first thing to pop up! It had like five stars out of five!! I didn't even look any more. Now, I feel like a fool. People will see me on the street and laugh. I probably won't be able to perform.
