MSX at least most underrated in the US

Birth place of Metal Gear.
The standardized home console so many are asking for nowadays.
The MS developed console standard that was a big hit in Japan yet failed in the US...

While the WiiU's library of games will probably be remembered as one of the best that many missed playing, I don't really expect the console/concept itself to be remembered particularly fondly.

I'd go with Gamecube; a beast of a system with a stellar library and a very affordable price. It's disheartening to me that the 'Cube didn't sell much better than it did.

I'm gonna say Vita. It has a legitimately solid library with a massive back catalog of BC games, as well as being capable of Remote Playing a great console and 99% of its games.

In terms of sales: Gamecube
I loved the system growing up, and most of my favorite games were on it. My favorite Fire Emblem, Zelda, 3D Mario, and Tales titles were all originally on the system, and it had a great amount of 3rd party support on top of it.

In terms of gamer perception: Wii
The dominance of casual-friendly titles seem to color everyone's opinion of the system, but I had a lot of fun with it despite not always being as into those types of games. The library wasn't as great as the Gamecube's, but it still had fantastic new entries in several different genres.

i think the WiiU holds that top spot of being underrated because of several things that other gamers raised questions:
1. the price to get an HD Nintendo console, several gamers still hold a place for Nintendo games but the $300 is a bit steep.
2. if gamepad became an optional controller, the price would surely drop, so this 2nd item is relevant to the first one.
3. disk space, 32gb is quite really small especially the price of PS/XBOX consoles with much larger capacity, so is WiiU a joke really, we know it is NAND/Flash thing but why does PS/XBOX still use the normal HD and got the bigger capacity and works fine, why rather go for that fancy flash mem where it is very limited. again a decision Nintendo can only answer.

it really boils down to pricing, if there is a looming price drop, it should happen this year, they've appointed a president and mention they needed to because of 53% sales are mostly coming from holidays, but what could Nintendo offer this holiday as their main title, better to push for a price drop with a SMM + DLC treat for the gamers who wanted to own a Wii U.

3 is easy. Nintendo cares about the size and form factor. That is the sole reason they go with flash. But then they're screwed by costs. So small storage is their only option.

Dreamcast, that bitch had better graphics than PS2.

And integrated online play.

Wii U - not underrated, it has a small but high quality lineup and is a gimmick console. If you're not into the nintendo-franchises, it just isn't for you.
Saturn - not underrated. Lacked 3d capabilities at a time where it just started to boom. Sega should've seen that. Western software lineup was overall pretty meh. If more Japanese titles would've been ported, it eventually would've sold better.
Xbox - ha, no. Sold rather well for it's late-to-the-party arrival and its short lifespan.
Gamecube - yeah, kind of. Not supporting standard DVDs was kind of stupid. Missed a few killer titles at the beginning and was overshadowed by the PS2.
PSVita - definitely underrated. Impressive technology, great small lineup, but lacked the exclusive killer titles. Should've come out 2 year earlier - and Sony didn't even try to save it.

I'd say the most underrated is the Dreamcast: Strong lineup, great technology, overshadowed by Playstation brand. Customers lost faith in SEGA due to their  previous missteps.

Out of those options, Vita. Of all time, I'd need a very clear picture of what "underrated" means in this case

Underrated means not talked about enough today and didn't really see a lot of acclaim  back in its day. Also maybe dismissed by most gamers. Just doesn't see a lot of love from most people.

I would say the Wii is underrated, but not during it's time so...

I would say the most underrated console is either the Wii U or the Vita
