Forums - Microsoft - Would this idea work instead of splitscreen in Halo?

I'm pretty sure your solution would equate in the same performance hit if not more than the split screen.... Unless part of the processing is offloaded to the PC.... Not sure how their streaming solution works though...

Now that being said... The second XBox second halo copy argument is pretty dumb IMO too... Since unless we are talking about a single household of kids with too much money to spend... This won't happen... Either the second player is already an halo player with his own XB or he is not and won't buy one just to play sometime with a friend instead of split screen.....

it will actually cost them sales.... Ton of people mu generation got into Xbox after playing halo split screens at my house or friend's house back she, Halo CE came out on the OG....

the few mad ones that might go forward buying an XBO just to experiment coop in halo that didn't plan on getting one anyway will be dwarfed by the one that'll never buy one because they won't have the pleasure to try it at a friend house...

I am pretty sure most people have a windows 10 PC that can stream X1 through the XBox app but that is irrelevant as the XB1 doesn't have the Processing capablity to run splitscreen so the PC would have to take the load for it's side because if it's streaming that means XB1 is doing the work which it can't do or it would.

Fixed ;)

Fixed again ;)

Final Fix ;)

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

If it worked I'd take it.  Honestly they could cut the fps to 30 to allow split screen and I'd be happy.

If you have to buy a Windows 10 PC just to play multiplayer on Halo 5 then wouldn't it be easier to just buy a 2nd Xbox One?

I am pretty sure most people don't have a PC capable of running Halo 5 at Xbox One settings :)

Fixed ;)

And yet... 10's of millions of PC gamers are still (Theoretically, hardware wise.) capable of running it without a problem, more than Xbox One console's sold and better too. ;)

I think it's really dumb that there isn't splitscreen...

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Well, I agree with every point you´re saying. I was just dreaming of the idea to have a nice multiplayer solution at home that didn´t require splitscreen or a second X1 :).

No. Because then it would still be the Xbox One running two screens at the same time. Except now both of them are full size. Which would end up worse than splitscreen.
