TBH I care more about the updated gameplay. The Original R&C just feels awfully dated compared to every other game in the series.

The amazing graphics are a plus though

Yes and no, they added in weapons/gameplay features from later games, have added new story content into the original etc... so it coincides more with the later franchises.  So I think it's actually way more than a remake.

I'm not sure cause the gameplay is new, new mechanics, new weapons. Seems more than a remake less than a brand new title. But We'll see when it come out I guess if the story is longer or more missions and side stuff etc.

I'm sure this video has probably been shared already since it was available pre-E3, but it's still worth a watch. As for whether or not it's a remake? Technically, yes, it is a remake. The beauty of a remake is that it goes beyond a remaster. It modernizes mechanics, changes content, and alters story as necessary for overall improvement. This is what we should expect out of a remake. This is what remaking a game truly is. It is taking the content and making a game that is still recognizable as what it is being remade from, but otherwise takes the time to change the game in ways that make the remake unique.

This is a highly anticipated game for me. It looks phenomenal, and at $40, it seems more than worth getting a chance to play it.
