Technically, yes, it is a remake. The beauty of a remake is that it goes beyond a remaster. It modernizes mechanics, changes content, and alters story as necessary for overall improvement. This is what we should expect out of a remake. This is what remaking a game truly is. It is taking the content and making a game that is still recognizable as what it is being remade from, but otherwise takes the time to change the game in ways that make the remake unique. This is a highly anticipated game for me. It looks phenomenal, and at $40, it seems more than worth getting a chance to play it. |
